They already have one strike. no weapons were used. What do you guys "think" the range of time is?

Impossible to say without knowing 1) the state, and 2) the charge. It could be anything from a minor misdemeanor to a serious felony. Do not accept any answer which does not tell you what state and statute is being relied upon to give that answer (which may or may not have anything to do with your question).

If it is a first offense they will get off with probation. If it is with a deadly weapon, they will get a lawyer and plea bargain it down to probation. Its a big joke and nothing ever happens.
