well as a resident of a town south of you in the same state more often then not you'll not be incarcerated but your past criminal history will come into play on that when you go to court on it and if it's the only thing on your record odds are you aint goin to jail

Go to court and get youself added to the court list and when you go before the judge plead No Contest for your plea and get it over and done with

Because of the time that has passed since it took place odds are you are also only going to get a fine and restitution for what you stole......

Petty Theft for a crime that small valuewise is considered a Misdemeanor 1 and not a high priority but better to get it over and done with then be haunted by it the rest of your life....

Unless the State decides to make an example of you (and personally with the return of the serial rapist in Bexley like I've been seeing on the news lately) I doubt you would be made an example of because there are bigger fish to fry and the courts will want media coverage on that and to do that they would have to really throw the book at you which is highly doubtfull......

That's the whole point of going to court, they will determine that.
