I was turning left on a 4 lane street, while the light was red the left lane arrow was green but the jeep in front of me was going so slow it was yellow when i went through and by the time i made it on the side street it was red and got my picture taken and so did the jeep in front of me. What can I do about this? I plan on taking it to court and hoping that the DA will dismiss the charges, since we only have one red light camera in our town and there have been mishappenings in the past.

I know police can be good people but in a whole.......

do you agree that cops are corrupt tools of the local municipalities to gain revenue.

seems like a lot of cops have a chip on their shoulders.. like they have the big man syndrom..

they were picked on and hate everyone and want to empose their authority..

especially in small towns.. fines are steap and cops really can harrass you..

if you have a local buisness you have to grease the police to keep them on your side and to ignore you a bit.

so do you agree, cops are corrupt

and you can't do anything about it................:)

I was driving on the highway going about 115 and then slowed down to like 75. Then a few minutes later a Conn State Trooper was behind me fallowing closely and fallowed me off an exit and then got back on the highway but never pulled me over. Could he of taken my plate number down and they bill me later or do they have to pull you over if your going that fast?

If you get your car towed for illegally parking why is it that you can only pay in cash???

Is it so they don't have to report it to the government??

If a woman tries to hit a man during an argument, what can the man do to defend himself, that won't result in him getting assault charges? What are the limits for "self defense"?

Is there any hope? Because if nobody has EVER matched and it has been done everywhere, then I wish the police officer would have just told me that and then there would have been no need to have them dust my brother's when they found it.

I'm kinda wishing I would have hung around someplace hidden with a camera so I'd be there when the thief came back for it. Oh well. At least it's been recovered.

Also, if there is no match to the prints, would they be entered into the database as being potentially involved in a vehicle theft in case the person is fingerprinted at a later date. Then they can go back and question or polygraph them about the stolen car, especially if they were printed due to some other theft.

I also think there should be a public tv channel dedicated to showing pictures and descriptions of stolen vehicles in the area. Many times I've heard they don't get far.

I recieved my first ever speeding ticket for going 44mph in a 30mph zone in New Jersey. I don't believe i was going that fast. What should i say to the judge to prove my innocence? Also, Let's assume I was speeding (hypothetically), What are the best ways to get out of a ticket?

I want to get phone records of a party and I am contemplating filing a case in federal court vs. the party - but seeing the records first would help me decide whether to proceed with the case. The party has been uncooperative (I am a beginning attorney and don't know this basic procedure, sorry).

ANY governor/esident of the US enters a/any room in ANY building anywhere???...

When the Mayor of L.A.(Antonio Villaraigosa)enters the media room at L.A. City Hall, the reporters DON'T rise upon command by the LAPD...but in NYC it's a different story:when the NYPD bodyguards see Mayor Mike Bloomberg enter the media room, the reporters stand and remain standing until Mike starts speaking...

When in Sacramento, the reporters see actor/Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger enter the media room, they DON'T stand and remain standing, but they do anyway, despite being told not to do so by him, afraid of being arrested by the CA Highway Patrol...

Is it a FELONY to refuse to stand upon the entrance of ANY governor/mayor/the President(punishable by prison time!)???...

I don't and never have lived in Dallas, never owned a car there, Hertz (the rental car co I use) has no record of me renting from them at any time near the time of the ticket....
Dallas responded to these facts and a request for the actual ticket, with a notice of hearing default and have turned me over to a collections agency.

In a car accident, can a person be charged with failure to stop and render aid if they just happened to see a car accident, and didn't bother to stop and help? Or does this offense apply only to those who were actually involved in causing the accident? Also, for instance, let's say you see little kids beating a person. If the police found out that you witnessed this happening, and that you neglected to notify the proper authorities, would that result in a charge of failure to stop and render aid for the witness?
