I am looking to see what a prisoner did, I know the name but not the state in which he was convicted, but only the prison in which he was sent to? thanks!

If he/she was charged in federal court you can go to http://www.bop.gov/ and click on inmate search but this will tell you very little, only where he/she is and how to write them. If he/she was charged at state level you need to know what state he/she is being held in and punch in that state then inmate locator in a search engine and hope for the best. Prison records are not available online. Verify at the court where the person was convicted because there is an order for the sentence where he was supposed to be imprisoned.

If you know the name of the prison then look that up and it will show you what state.

first you will have to find the state then you type the state name and department of corrections and it will pull that states d.o.c site up from thier you just type in the name most of those sites have a picture posted so you can tell who it is it should tell you what he did how much time he did as well as his dischage date
