If you are on probation and nearing the end of your time, the PO can end probation early at their choice, if you have kept all of your appointments and followed up on all requirements of your probation contract such as community service work, etc. If a person on probation has been a "model client" they can get probation discharged early.

actually Mary Beth is right. it is up to the descretion of the judge. the DA can advise against it, and not all first offense DWI have probation officers. I'm not sure who the supervisor is.
i have a DWI (thankfully only one), and my DA wasn't a prick. i never had a probation officer. if i am not mistaken, a probation officer is only requested if there is a felony involved or this is not your first offense. It can be recommended by the DA. Call the office and ask. however do keep in mind, that no matter what this will not fall off your DMV records for a minimum of ten years. No matter what the judge agrees on. if you get caught on a second DUI (even if your probation expires) DMV will treat this as a second offense.

Ms. Mary Beth is wrong.
It's up to the Probation officer, the supervisor, and the Assistant District/States Attorney. Not the judge.

That's up to the discretion of the judge.
