I bought a car from JD byrider in Feb of 07 ( 2002Chrysler 300m). After having the car in my posession about a month, I learned I had a 2,000 dollar problem. I took the car to the dealership (someone other than who they referred me too) and had the car checked and fixed. Last month the car needed a head gasket replaced at the cost of 6,000 dollars and I was out of my car for 3 weeks (walking, while still making a payment of 464 monthly. A warrenty they sold me covered all of the repairs except the 500 I paid (things that weren't covered. I have my car back and everything is fine. The repairs were not deemed my fault but as problems that already exsisted. My question is... didn' they sell me a lemon? What are my rights under the law in Illinois, and if any whom do I contact regarding being sold a bad car. The warranty company is whom repaired the car (jd had nothing to do w/ repairs). I just feel ripped off, and it would be nice to be compensated for my loss of a car.

I came home yesterday and my laundry room was destroyed and my dog's cage was moved around and boxes were all over the place and there was no evidence of tampering with my front door...plus I have a dead bolt. I stay in an apartment complex and my maintenance guy is ALWAYS around my building. I literally see him every single day and he always goes out of his way to speak to me. No one but myself and my husband and maintenance have the key. What can I do with no proof? I don't have any type of surveillance electronics nor do I have the money to get any. Please help me because I'm getting really scared.

I have a little idea. I seem to always come up with "little Ideas" and most of the time they amount to nothing. BUT here is my latest idea;

I have the perfect little setup. a small business in a small Alabama town. lots of foot traffic and the right kind of customers for this type of thing.

My idea, on sunday's go buy lottery tickets (quick picks for the "big one"). and then sell them for $3 to $5.

I see the possibility of being able to sell maybe 500 tickets or more per-week. Not a gold mind, but nice extra money.

Quick picks only. E.g. when I sold a ticket it would be a single ticket for cash, the customer walks away with ticket in hand.

IS it legal to do this? If you are not certain then, respectfully, don't answer please. Lawyers.... got your ears on? =)
Thanks.

I know that there are support groups for adoptees. My adoption was not legal, and it will be almost impossible to find my family. I have very little information to go on. I do know that I have brothers and/or sisters that were born after me, and possibly two siblings born before I was. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

The first amendment refers specifically to Congress. I was wondering if that meant that the President could issue an executive order denying certain people freedom of religion.

Thanks in advance for any info.

I have a twisted pelvis that I have been having adjusted over the last few weeks with a chiropractor. Lastnight, my husband must have wanted to cuddle, grabbing my hip to pull me close. It caused alot of pain. I dragged myself out of bed because I had to go to work. I am out of personal time due to past medical problems. Is it legal for them to deny me medical attention? It is affecting my job, causing pain that brings tears to my eyes.

im just wondering, if someone presented me documents to sign, and just told me to sign here (flip page then point), here(flip page then point), here..... without telling me what im signing for, only that i know i need to sign it to get something...

are my signatures valid?

lets take for example when i applied for a credit card, the agent just pointed me where to sign without even explaining what im signing. and i signed a lot of blank spaces.

if they charge me something which of course i'm not aware of, can i sue them? (in some countries, applying for a bank account will automatically grant you a credit card)

another question:
when a document needs to be signed by my dad, i know my dad's signature, and i know he will sign anyway, i took the liberty of signing it..

is my signature forgery?

just wanna know, thanks!

F.B.I. Says Guards Killed 14 Iraqis Without Cause

Federal agents investigating the Sept. 16 episode in which Blackwater security personnel shot and killed 17 Iraqi civilians have found that at least 14 of the shootings were unjustified and violated deadly-force rules in effect for security contractors in Iraq, according to civilian and military officials briefed on the case.

[….]

A separate military review of the Sept. 16 shootings concluded that all of the killings were unjustified and potentially criminal. One of the military investigators said the F.B.I. was being generous to Blackwater in characterizing any of the killings as justifiable.

[….]

But nearly 11 months later, no charges have been brought, and officials said a number of theories had been debated among prosecutors in Washington and Seattle without a resolution of how to proceed in the case.

Does anyone know an email address for the FBI or another investigating agency to whom I can forward these scam e-mails?

You know the ones. The claim to be the executor of some multi-million dollar estate, and want to name the recipient as the next-of-kin and wire the money... blah blah blah.

Its really an identity theft scam, and I'm tired of seeing it. I the Postmaster General or the FBI to go after these people. Any ideas where to send the evidence?

I have also been informed that the tape will be used as evidence against me. My question is can the tape be used against me as I didnt know I was being taped and also since this is a violation of federal laws can I do anything about this?

Hello people,
I helped start up a company a while ago with some people I know but due to disagreements I feel it is time to part ways. When the company started no contract was issued as we were all friends, all equal, and agreed verbally on the can's and can not's. I now, like the other's take a wage from the company via PAYE, and as a sign of respect will give the other members a month's notice when I decide to go. What I am worried about is that if I work that month, and then the other's decide not to pay me (as my move away could potentially damage them, and they may be bitter), is there any law that can protect me and see I get my last wage?

Thanks so much in advance.

I guess this is more of a discussion point rather than question/answer.

For the past few decades there have been more and more controls put in place by the police/government to identify and track us.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition - your every move in your vehicle can be tracked by the police at any time, any place through the 2000CCTVs placed on the roads/speed cameras/petrol stations.

CCTVs - A substantial number of CCTVs have been installed across the UK that are accessible by the police or any other government authority for research or policing purposes.

ID Cards - Seems like this will happen at some point in the future whether we like it or not, with your finger prints and other physical attributes logged and recorded.

Am I the only person who feels uncomfortable at the fact that my every move is/could be monitored by the police like a criminal?

What next, microchipping individuals so that they can be located by GPS?

Are we finally becoming a total police state? With ID cards for all, DNA databases for all, unlimited detention without trial for suspects.....where will it end? All in the name of "anti terror".
A police state that the SS or the Stazi would have been proud of?
