Many states have a graduated drivers license though where you can drive but with restrictions like no night driving no more than one person in the car ect.
Then at 18 you can vote and are no longer a minor. You can get into most nightclubs but you can't drink until 21

I think the legal age in germany to drive 18, to smoke cigars14-15,and to drink alcohol 16 and to go to disco 18 years.So life vary here from 14- 18 years of age.
I dont think USA have an legal age to do anything.But as i heard from my friends in germany it is 18 years.
