I bought a car from JD byrider in Feb of 07 ( 2002Chrysler 300m). After having the car in my posession about a month, I learned I had a 2,000 dollar problem. I took the car to the dealership (someone other than who they referred me too) and had the car checked and fixed. Last month the car needed a head gasket replaced at the cost of 6,000 dollars and I was out of my car for 3 weeks (walking, while still making a payment of 464 monthly. A warrenty they sold me covered all of the repairs except the 500 I paid (things that weren't covered. I have my car back and everything is fine. The repairs were not deemed my fault but as problems that already exsisted. My question is... didn' they sell me a lemon? What are my rights under the law in Illinois, and if any whom do I contact regarding being sold a bad car. The warranty company is whom repaired the car (jd had nothing to do w/ repairs). I just feel ripped off, and it would be nice to be compensated for my loss of a car.

I live in IL and did some research on this because I was looking to buy a used car. The lemon law only applies to NEW vehicles. Your best bet is to contact the BBB, let them know about the company. For more info, google lemon laws in IL.
Sorry about your luck!

No in IL it must be a new car and it has to be repaired for the same problem 3 times. On the 4th time it can be declaired a lemon and will be bought back by the manufacture for the price you paid. Used cars are exempt.

buyer beware. You have every right to have the car fully inspected by a mechanic of your choosing prior to purchasing it. However when it comes to recouping the losses from the car breaking down after the sale you may be out of luck.

Review the terms of your sales contract and warranty. Refer to a consumers right board in your area for further information as to what the sellers obligation is to you.

i think of you may get weapons in those states (properly, I stay in ny state and there are gun shops everywhere). although diverse states and localities have diverse policies, so in some circumstances, you won't have the capacity to get particular forms of weapons/upload-ons in cetain factors. In some cities, it particularly is almost impossible to get weapons (curiously, those cities frequently have the worst crime expenditures). Surprizingly, particularly some cities in basic terms have policies approximately no longer donning hid weapons. in many places, you have to be out on the line with a loaded gun in a holster (definite like on the westerns) as long because it exchange into interior the open and it does not be unlawful. i'm no longer suggesting you quite try this, because it has a tendency to make human beings freak out, and whether there's no longer a rule against it the place you reside, you will probable a minimum of get spoken to via the police officers approximately it. additionally, you're no longer allowed to hold weapons into many artwork places, government workplaces, etc, so it could be very undemanding to get in hardship via twist of destiny directly donning one around. in the adventure that your community is so undesirable which you're feeling you're able to desire to %. warmth, you're able to desire to flow!
