Where I live it is illegal to stop and help someone do you think that is right? If the person was clearly not a threat would you intentionally break the law to help them?

Sure I would. Where I live, it's not illegal to stop and help. But, if you DO decide to stop and help (esp. in a medical emergency situation) it's illegal to leave/stop helping until someone else comes to take over, or the situation is resolved (i.e. person becomes well again).

The problem is you can never know clearly. Hole families run rackets and even get there teens involved. Personally I don't stop I call from my cell phone and tell the police where they are incase they don't have a phone. I don't open my door for people ethier. I had people knock and say there car is broken and they need to come in and make a call sorry but no entry. I can call from in my home but you have to wait out there. It is crazy but people are crazy and can hurt you

Illegal? That's dumb. Danger invites rescue. There must be some specific situation that law you're describing is trying to address.

yep...but I live in a country where breaking the law is only a minor issue.....though I still think I would if I was faced with that situation in a more strict country
