I was wondering, if I am suing a corporation that is at obvious fault, do I have to hire an attorney? Can I send them a letter explaining what happened, police reports, proof, receipts, hospital bills and witness statements and ask that we settle it one on one, out of court and no attorneys? Also, if I do send them this information is it legal to tell them I want to go to the media and tell them what happened to me because of the company’s negligence, if they are unwilling to compromise?

So I recieved a job offer via email. This is what they're asking me to do. . .

We have a problem that is setting us back. We have some problem collecting our payments from our USA/Canada clients. The international money transfer tax for legal entities (companies) in USA is 25%, whereas for the individual it is only 7%. There is no sense for us to work this way, while tax for international money transfer made by a private individual is 7% . This is why we need you as our agent to receive payment for our Clients (in Money Orders, Checks or Bank Wire Transfers) from our clients in the USA/Canada and to resend the money to us via Money Gram or Western Union Money Transfer. This way we save money.

Is this even legal?

I started work 6 weeks ago on a 6 month fixed term contract with a view to extending at the end of that 6 months.

I received a letter from employer today saying I have now satisfied all their conditions in my contract of employment and my offer of employment is unconditional.

Does this mean they have changed my contract to permanent?

What if I dont want to become permanent or if I want to renegotiate salary before going permanent?

Any advice would be welcome thanks

I need a copy of an uncontested divorce with no children for the state of Georgia. I have looked almost everywhere online and they all charge for them (even the sites that say they're FREE!). I just need one to go by as far as how it is worded and the layout of it. Time is of utmost importance here. Can anyone help me? I tried to ask at the courthouse and was told to look online. Figures. Someone help me please!!

my husband & i are divorcing after 8 years. i worked until our 2nd child was born 6 years ago, staying home to care for what became 3 children. during this time, i began an associates degree when time would allow. my husband was the breadmaker, obviously, $3800 ave / mo. i bring in a $600 each month from an annuity, there's always something from me to contribute to household expenses. we own a house and a car, have a loan on a minivan. He wants: the house; 50/50 visitation (1 wk @ his place, 1 wk @ mine) which would in then turn eliminate his duty of child support if we are both covering expenses on our own while we each have the kids. i'm of course looking for a job. the most i can afford to work till May is 15 hrs, due to full time school (graduate then) & 3 kids. Before he asked for these things, I asked for min. child support, regular visitation incl'd any extra times (we don't have to only stick to the times the judge says) & the house for the kids and the business.

I have heard in the news that in Arkansas they are going to try to pass a law saying they do not have to have parental consent no matter what age. I was curious to know whether it was just about pregnant teens and I found this article. What are your opinions on this? Do you think it will be passed?

Our lawyer is dragging his feet, he's had the case over 1 year and has 1 expert witness (surgeon) willing to testify for us, but has still not filed suit. If it comes down to it, we only have 6 months left before the statute of limitations runs out. We will need to do something to bring this to court ourselves. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

How do I report my local police department for theft?
Some kid came by my house the other day, said that my bike was his bike, so my bike was seized. The kid never provided any form of proof that he ever owned a bike like mine, so the port huron police department didn't let him take my bike, but they won't let me get my bike back because I don't have the receipt of when I bought the bike. How do I report the police department of Port Huron, Michigan for theft and get my bike back?

This security guard at my job was talking to me and we had casual conversation for a total of 40 minutes in to days. I told him that we cant talk to much because people will start think some thing is going on between us. So I avoided him for the next 3 weeks and the next thing you know I am being suspended. He told them that I said something impropriate to him. Now how nice is that when my boss hates my gutts already

We had paid our rent late in August (there's no penalties for that) Now that we have tried to pay our September's rent, our landlord has refused. He says he wants us to move. We are on a month to month lease, and we have 3 kids and no where to go. Is this legal and is there anything I can do to stop it?

A family member of mine randomly makes up stories about being molested as a child. She is in her late thirties and claims the abuse happened to her as a child.

She has thus far accused her own brother, her uncle, her step dad, and her father as well as a few family friends. When she was thirteen, she claimed her stepfather raped her, but a medical examination determined that he had not.

I do believe she is crazy. Lately, she is saying that her father, a recent widower, has been making passes at her, calling her and talking about his "needs," etc. I happen to know for a fact taht her father has been out of town working and has not had the opportunity to do these things to her. She has three sisters- none of which believe her. She is ripping the entire family apart. The sisters are much younger than she is and remember being interrogated by her as children about male family members.

She has not filed a police report against the father.

While I realize many people are having accounts suspended from unnecessary and unwarranted claims, how is it that moderators choose to reply to contestors AFTER you've posted your question?

I posted a message to appeal my suspension almost 3 hours ago. Someone else posted an appeal for a suspension as well about 1 hour ago and has already received a message stating claims.

Do they just ignore people with legit claims and answer everyone elses?

This is extremely infuriating to say the least. Should my answer come before those who post appeals after mine or do I get the luxury of sitting and waiting because Yahoo researched my appeal and found no wrong?

What gives?
