Both parents are ill. They have a house in Puerto Rico. I'm the only daughter from this marriage. My mother had 3 other children. I'm my father only child. If there is no written will and the house is in their name....who will be the beneficiary?

I am in serious need of some information on child custody laws and I have no idea where to begin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....If a child's parents are deemed unfit then who will the government turn to? Do they try to give custody to family members? If there is an adult sibling(25) could the sibling fight for custody?

I remember signing an agreement that says they can fire us for any reason, though it didn't specifically mention discussion of pay. I was not given a copy of this agreement for my records. In a college class, a professor told us it was against federal law for an employer to forbid discussion of salary or pay. Is this true? I feel like naive employees are being taken advantage of.

My fiance's work just hired a new team lead, and the very next day he was hired, he left a voicemail on my fiance's phone saying, after consideration, there is no purpose for you to come back in." My fiance said he was just the biggest ******. My fiance called the supervisor (who hired my fiance) and he told him that he never authorized him to do that. So a few days later, my fiance called the supervisor back and said, I'm sorry I can't change his mind. !!!! WtF?!?! So, this is NOT right at all that this guy did this....over a voicemail AND he only has been working there a week now! I want to call both of them in a professional manner but I want to know if there is any legal words that I can use because they should NOT be getting away with this

After a tragic accident that killed the mother of my two children my bio son was the only survivor. Since my ex girlfriend had remarried the step father rushed to court saying he did not know my whereabouts although we were both in the hospital beside my son. He lied to the court saying I had not supported my children and did not have a relationship and the 4th District Court allowed him guardianship. The court said he could do this because of my past record. I have always had a good relationship with my children and was up to date on my child support. The step father basically kidnapped my child through the legal system and has done everything he can to keep me from visiting my child. I found out the step is not planning on keeping my son but giving him to his aunt in the future. I do not have a lot of money and have spent over $5000 to fight for my son. I take drug tests every 72 hours to proved I am not on drugs alcohol. I need help with this situation.

My husband and I are separating. We've been married 8 years and jointly own our home. If I'm the one to move out first (to an apartment I'm renting on my own), will I be negating any of my share is our house? His preference is that I stay until the house is sold. We are using a mediator, not separate attorneys and I'd love some feed back.

Have you ever been convicted of a crime other than a traffic violation?
(Note: Please exclude misdemeanor convictions for marijuana-related offenses more than two years old; any misdemeanor conviction more than 5 years old; convictions that have been sealed, expunged, or legally eradicated; and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was successfully completed or otherwise discharged and the case was judicially dismissed. A conviction is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case will be considered on its own merits.)

I was resently let go from my position. I was accused of things that didn't happen but being that the report came from a female. I had no recourse. The MN lawyers say that it doesn't matter what I say or did the law protects the employer and women.

Had a dispute with a client. She dismissed me from her home after berating me.

As I went to my next client's home (a friend of the first) I saw that he was on the telephone. As I began my work, I saw him walk outside with his wireless phone to a spot about 75 feet away from the house. His phone conversation took almost an hour before he returned to the house.

As I prepared to leave, the second client told me that my services would not be needed at the end of the current term.

This was a week after he had explained to me that his children would most likely continue working with me into the fall months.

It would be easy enough to subpoena the second client and his phone records into court to show that the conversation he had on the phone that morning in my presence was with my first client. His change in expression towards me was immediate, and his decision not to continue as well.

What are my chances here? Loss of wages, punitive action against client 1, etc.?

A planned parenthood is opening a block from my house and I'm sick of all the protesters. They all park on the street and entrance to a shopping center blocking the street and entrance. They also have crosses, signs and other crap all on the sidewalk. I know we value freedom of speech but why can't they be ticketed for littering or loitering? Police do give loitering tickets to people who loiter but what because they have signs they are all the sudden immune from loitering laws?

I do. Killed his 4 children execution style because he was mad at his wife, WTF! I understand there are innocent people in prison and maybe some on deathrow. But this guy confessed and the evidence was overwelming. Do any of you disagree with the death penalty in a case like this? They fried him in the electric chair, he took this option over being put to sleep. Im so happy he did, I hear its a long and painful death. Any alternative punishments you can think of that would of been better?

Last week she took pictures of our garbage cans because they weren't put away (on garbage day).
Today the police came to tell me my car was hanging into the sidewalk too much. We know who is doing it because the police tell us who it is. They're familiar with her because she was the same way with her old neighbors too.
She's seeking revenge on us because somebody called the police on her for something, and she assumes it was us (heck, maybe it was her old neighbors, or her neighbors before that getting revenge).
