A felony stays on your record forever. However, if you are applying for jobs and housing, providing the individual isn't a registered sex offender, they may not have to include this information on their application after 7 years.

Sorry buddy, but a felony stays on your record for life. Now a misdemeanor can be wiped off your record after like 3 years, but not a felony.

Too long. Longer that you'd want it to.
It haunts you forever.
If the question is have you EVER been convicted of a felony, ,it doesn't mean, in the last 3 years have you been convicted of a felony?

Felony arrests, charges and convictions follow you til your death. However, for employment purposes, most applications only ask if you've ever been convicted. If there is no conviction even though you were charged you do not have to disclose the information.

If you are probation, then that will go away when you finish it clean. The felony will probably stay there. I suggest you ask them to be sure.

In the UK,if the crime wasn't too serious (like murder!) and you've not re-offended,your record is wiped clean after 3 years.
In the US,i hear it's always on your record, therefor,it'll follow you forever.

Always unless you get it expunged. Or get the Pres' to grant you a pardon.
