I joined Bally Total Fitness. on Saturdy 8/18. I went to the gym 3 times did not like. On Friday I canceled 8/24 before midnight. I signed a 3 year contract. But on the contract it stated I can cancel this agreement at any time prior to midnight of the 5th business day after the date of this agreement, excluding Sundays and Holidays. I spoke with a rep at Bally he told me since I canceled on the 8/24 I was outside the remorse period. Could any one help me in regards to this. I believe I'm right but want to make sure before I call.

I, being White, had this discussion with several co-workers, who were Black ( I REFUSE TO BE BULLIED INTO USING POLITICALLY CORRECT TERMS AND I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT HEAR EITHER!)
OK, a white guy kills a Black man, who he caught in bed with his wife. another White guy kills a White guy he caught with HIS wife.
They both get 10 years for murder, but a crime of passion, even so far.
Now a white guy kills an ice cream truck driver because he hates ice cream truck drivers, plans it and he gets 30 years for 1st degree
now a white guy kills a black guy because he hates blacks, he is one prejudiced S.O.B.
He gets 30 yrs +10 for it being a "hate crime"
a white guy who also hates blacks drives around town giving the finger to every black he sees, freedom of speech, they say.
Same hate I say, so why no 10 yrs in jail?
Because of WHAT HE DID!
Thereby rendering the motive moot but punishing the action only!
ALL CRIME IS A FORM OF HATE!
Arguments???

A month and half half into my new job, the asist. manager of my department comes to work on his day off drunk and sexually harasses a chick friend of mine (touching and etc) The situation seemed to be swept under the rug because the chick was too scared to come forward, obviously uncomfortable. I find out a couple days later the assistant manger prick is trying to get me fired for probably knowing about the stint with my friend, to make sure it didn't come to light. I then go to management about him trying to get me fired and the situation in general, Both GM's told me "you are doing a good job, you have nothing to worry about". For a week, ive been hearing the prick's been saying im getting fired. The GMs today then fired me for poor productivity without warning or anything. And i was doing a good job there.
They fired me obviously because i threatened their jobs if she decided to go to corporate. The girl quit because she hated the drama. And the guy still works there.

what to do?

About a year ago, a man in Ca brutally murdered a woman who was 4 months pregnant. This S.o.b. was later caught, and was charged and convicted of "double" murder. Now don't get me wrong, I hope he Rots in jail for the rest of his natural life.
In the Great state of Ca Second Trimester Abortions are perfectly legal. So when a Dr. enters a woman "Cuts" up a fetus, vacuums it out, and throws it in the trash, why isn't he guilty of murder??
Now before all you pro-choicers get angry, understand this: I don't believe that ANY government should make ANY law that stops ANYBODY doing what they want to THEMSELVES (no one else though).
But the raw truth is that "fetus","Blob of cells", whatever you call it, is not your body. Every cell in your body has one thing in common, They all have the SAME DNA. The fetus, weather you like or not, dosn't have your exact DNA, therefore making it a separate and unique being in your body.

ok well, I'm just entering grade 12 and have decided that I want to go to law school after high school. Finally, I have come to a conclusion. haha, it took me forever to figure out what I wanted to do. But I have a problem, I don't know what kinds of high school courses I should take in my last year at high school. I don't know what classes you are expected to have before entering law school. I don't exactly know what I want to study when I enter law school but I know for sure I don't want to do anythign else besides go to law school. Altogether, I have to take 8 classes. So far, the mandatory classes I am taking are Eng 12, Art 10( I need a fine arts credit). Other than that, I have a void of 6 spaces to fill. So sorts of grade 12 classes do you think I should take in my last year at high school. Oh, also I wanted to let you know that I do have law 12. I took it in grade 11. So please tell me every class you think I need to take in order to get into law school. Thanks.

I was looking into buying a restaurant from an old couple who is retiring. A week ago a black woman who's a student at the local college applied for a waitressing job. When she left, the owners threw away her application and said they won't hire her because she's black and if they hire a black waitress no one will come into the restaurant. I told them that this wasn't true, but they didn't listen. Once I bought the place I would've hired her. Unfortunately, I discovered that the owners have a history of criminal transactions so I'm not going to buy it.

So do I tell the black college student what happened? It's my word against their's so if she filed a complaint it could be difficult to prove, and I'm worried how it could affect her.

Yet, I don't think this kind of behavior should be ignored. These days there is a great push to do away with affirmative action, but how can we if we ignore things like this?

Minority responses greatly appreciated.

No rude comments, please.

If I, or Akon or Vick do something illegal, there is a certain set of rules that give us guidelines for punishmet of our crimes, in some way or another, we have to pay for it. Why are there situations in this country where illegal is ok, and where those doing the illegal action (being in this country illegally) is actually rewarded with health care, education and other social services? Why is illegal, (NOT LEGAL), a standard for some situations and not others?

I HEARTILY ACCEPT the motto, — "That government is best which governs least";(1) and I should like to see it acted up to more rapidly and systematically. Carried out, it finally amounts to this, which also I believe, — "That government is best which governs not at all"; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have. Government is at best but an expedient; but most governments are usually, and all governments are sometimes, inexpedient. The objections which have been brought against a standing army, and they are many and weighty, and deserve to prevail, may also at last be brought against a standing government. The standing army is only an arm of the standing government. The government itself, which is only the mode which the people have chosen to execute their will, is equally liable to be abused and perverted before the people can act through it.

I plan on going into the Pasadena Superior Court on Friday to resolve this matter. Basically, I kicked a womans car during a road rage incident after she cut me off making me nearly crash into her. She got out and I tried to take of and she had jumped into my car by running up the hood as it was a convertibIe. I dropped her off immediately and drove away. A week later I went and spoke to a detective about a month ago regarding this and he acted as if it was no major deal. I got a notice in the mail today saying I need to surrender to clear my warrant. Will I be after I see a judge? Or will I be released after I clear the warrant, meaning going to the court house. The Bail amount is $50,000. Can anyone provide some feedback and let me know how bad this can be or is?

Judge Savage of Maryland 6th Circuit Court dismissed this case Mahamu Kanneh, accused of rape of a seven year girl, because they didn't have an interperter that spoke Vai. Even though he graduated from a English speaking school and was attending college, and he spoke English to the police.

I just thought 45-50% was a little high. I was told that it is not a super strong case-could that be why??? Why would they take the case if they thought we wouldn't win??? My son was injured in a bicycle accident on a business property-spent 4 days in the hospital, fractured skull & over 200 stitches to his mouth & face, but because him & his friend brought the board they used to ramp off of to the property & they are saying that may hurt the case, that's the reason for the high contigency fee. Does that sound right or should I seek another attorney????

I was a first responder to a vehicular homicide and the jury trial date has been set. I am a college student living a couple of hours away without a car. Can I provide a deposition so I do not have to be present. I also play college football and the date conflicts with game schedule. I want to cooperate but the court date couldn't come at a worse time. Do I have any options??

Is it in our economic and political interests to maintain crime rates? Does this employ and create work for a number of people like lawyers and judges and police and social workers?

If other social measures were created to down the crime rate, would our political leaders work to put them in place - or to maintain an outdated and destructive social behavioral limitation system?

Under the "year and a day rule," which was followed at common law, but has now been abolished in many states, a person could not be charged with murder if the victim did not die within one year and one day after the alleged murderous act took place. True or false?
