A female friend of mine was approached by a guy who is in the adult film industry and asked if she was interested in being in a film. It made me start to wonder why is it illegal to to pay for sex from a prostitute, but if you pay her to have sex on film it is an adult film and that is ok? How do you differentiate between the two from a legal stand point? What is to keep the police from arresting adult film stars for prostitution?

this guy sued a local laundramette run my a chinese couple for $54,000,000 because they lost his $50 pants during cleaning. the first time he went up in court the judge ruled "the business owners did not violate the city's consumer protection law by failing to live up to his expectations of a "Satisfaction Guaranteed" sign once displayed in the store." and the case was thrown out the guy didn't get his millions. now the guy is back and wants the court to "reconsider" the lawsuit because he claims the judge made a "fundamental legal error". what do you think about this multi million dollar lawsuit over ONE missing pants that were worth no more than $50.

He has sealed over 1,000 individual cases brought to "vaccine court" for MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella). All discovery documents and initial complaints are now out of reach of parents, like myself, who are trying to find out why their child has autism. The President believes that by releasing these documents, companies that produce such vaccines would be uneccesarily burdened with civil cases. What are your thoughts?

Remember how OJ tried on those gloves at his trial (I assume they were the gloves the killer used) and they didn't fit which I guess played some sort of role in the not guilty verdict. I was just thinking why couldn't they just take the fingerprints from the inside of the glove and try to find a match. That may be a stupid question, but I have no idea how fingerprinting works and what materials can or cannot be tested.

I mean, I am keeping up with the Boulder, CO, case on a child abuse that ended up taking a 2 onth olds life. Well it took almost a year after the Coroner determined it was a homicide to bring charges up against the Parents. The Father's, father owns a lot of land in Boulder and has lots of money. Also in the stebic missing wife case in Illinois, the husband is just a person of interest although they were going through a divorce, and he has no alibi, that I have heard of. He is swimming with the reporter covering his case. The police have said he has offered little cooperation. Yet he walks a s free as a bird. Is this not a problem?

I'm 17 years old, just one year shy of being legally responsible. I used to live in Florida, with my mother and the rest of my family. When I was 10 years old my dad went to Brazil to start a business, and never came back. Last year (2006) I went to live with him for a year. I didnt like it too much so I decided to return to the U.S.A.
So I went back in April of this year, and stayed one month. My father told me to return and gather my things (clothes, belongings, etc) and that I would only stay 2 weeks and be on my way to my new life. Well here I am. I've been here in Brazil for more than 2 months and my father says he wont let me leave untill my 18th birthday. Can he do this?
I read the UN's Child Rights Convention, and Brazil is part of it. But I'm a bit confused. Whether I am young or old, I am still a human being. I should have rights too.
Please help me out.
-Kevin

My husband was robbed at gun point at the drive through window of our bank. They took everything from us. It was caught on camera. The bank teller later said it look suspisious, but yet did nothing. We are thinking about going to the bank president and asking for reimbursment of our money since as a bank their job is to protect their customers' money, especially if it happened at thier establishment. The robbers were loitering around for some time looking for a victem as seen on camera, doesn't that account for anything?? What can we say to get our money back? Who should we go to? Or are we not to trust our well being at a bank? Please tell me your sources. Thank you

Even more die from perscription drug use, and we even had someone die from BEN GAY recently. There have never been any reported overdoses or deaths from marijuana.

So why is marijuana still illegal? I believe politicians do not have enough information to make a sound decision about marijuana legalization. I also believe that politicians who work for the interest of big business feel that marijuana smokers typically do not have the ideal mindset to support a greedy capitalist nation.
What do you think? Please back up your opinion with details and facts.

The hospital just has to take the baby and you can go? I know its to prevent babies from getting thrown into trash bins, but what would stop someone from taking someone else's baby? You could just take a baby you find on the street, drop if off at the hospital, and the parents might never see it again. You could make it a weekly hobby and no one could ever ask questions. How is that prevented?
