he say hi im showing of my cam to a bunch of people
i was like um okay and then he is like doing all this weird stuff and typing a whole bunch but he doesnt say anything to me, like later i say asl? im 15/f/ca and he doesnt say anything then he is still on cam for like 5 minutes and he just cuts it. i know that illegal and i should report it, but my question is , is that enough for anything to actually happen or will the cops just take a report

First. Did he know UP FRONT how old you are? If not, there isn't anything you could do. Even if he did, were you looking for that?
I mean, look at your name for Christs sake!
Second. What is a 15 year old doing in Yahoo Romance anyway? If anybody thats anybody knows anything is that Yahoo Romance is nothing but a lot of cyber sexing in the first place.
You should just chalk it up as a lesson learned. And stick to finding a boyfriend the old fashioned way.
If I knew my daughter was going into chat rooms like that, and especially with a name like that. Her computer would be gone forever. Your parents need to pay attention to what your doing young lady. And you need to gain some self respect.

Yes, you should report him. Did you ever tell him your age? Was your picture the same or like the one shown here? As for taking the report and actually doing something to him, that depends on if the police believe he knew you were underage at the time he showed himself. And keep in mind, you might get a crash course in what NOT to do on the web.
Regardless of the user name you were using, you need to realize your actions were WRONG! almost as wrong as his actions. You should not have been in a Romance Chat room at your age. That is why children are always told to be careful on the internet. Where were your parents? Why dont you tell them? Your parents should be checking your activity on the web.

I have had that happen to me before...go to look at someones cam and it's not what I thought that it was going to be. Hit the big red X button on the top right hand side of the window.
Not that hard.
I think that you are just looking for something to cause drama.
The way that I am reading it...you still had it opened when you started chatting and HE was the one that closed it. Probably after he read that you were 15.
ALSO....
If he was typing but not to you, then I suspect he didn't even realize that you were on there....he was obviously talking to someone else.
Are you mad that he cut it once you told him that you were 15?
Why were you in the "Romance" chat room. To me...it looks like you were doing nothing but TRYING to be jail bait and see who would bite.

That is considered criminal exploitation i believe. If you personally know the guy then yeah you can report it and have him arrested, but if you dont know him i am sure if you report it, it will be just that... a report, unless you can find the guy in the rooms again and have a police officer present to witness this. or record it and the conversation you had with the man and then turn it in. they will have to track the ip address and everything else. basically it will be a pretty hard thing to prosecute unless you have the mans address. but make the report if it makes you feel better.

Well yes he should have figured out how old you were before doing something like that but you shouldn't have been in a room like that anyway. Go to the police but next time let them know you're underage ahead of time, sure the guy was a pervert it sounds like but he doesn't seem to be a child offender since he cut off his camera after you said you were 15. He still broke the law.
