I think so because I believe you will only get JSA one day at a time. You will not find this in an Act of Parliament but A Staturtory Instrument which is a law made by the relevant department. This will have been given the authority of Parliament in the Act

I suppose this is to stop them claiming in different places on different days. If you had no address you could register in different council areas, if you have to sign on everyday then they can check up where people are. Legal, lets face it they impose rules as and when they see fit and you have no option but to comply if you want the money.
