With all the war and corruption, what is the right path for humanity to follow. From my view it seems as if mankind in general needs to step back and take a good long look at what we hope to accomplish in the future. What is important to us, and why is it so hard for us to achieve?

BestBuy Geek squad was supposed to only repair the dc power plug in the back of my computer but instead after having the laptop for 4 months returned it with a new hard drive and told me they threw away my old one. They told me they did it it as a favor for taking so long on the power jack repair???!!! When I freaked out and asked why didnt they call me first before they did this they acted like I was a jerk because they were "doing me a favor." There was nothing else wrong with the laptop when I dropped it off. Just the power jack and that was specifically put into the work order. Since I said I was going to consult an attorney the manager and corporate refuse to talk to me or return
my deposit. Ive lost priceless photos and manuscript files now. I didnt have the means or a reason to back them up at the time because I thought I was dropping it off for a simple repair. I was on the road at the time and dropped it off at the nearest BB. I want blood from these jackholes.

My brother just started a new job. Now, the 1st paycheck that he received from his employer bounced, when he tried to cash the check with his bank. (BTW his bank is Golden One if that makes any difference.) The 2nd paycheck cashed fine. Now he tried to cash the 3rd paycheck and it bounced!
* Is there anything my brother can do to receive his money?
* Is there anything he can do to prevent his employer's checks from bouncing?
* Are there any "legal" actions that my brother NEEDS to take, against his employer?

(NOTE: Please don't leave any SARCASTIC answers!!! Cause this is kinda a serious matter. I don't think you would be too thrilled if 2 of your paychecks came back BOUNCED!)

Hey, my little brother was just contacted by a software company, for posting the software on a file sharing site. From what he tells me, all they said was that they knew he had done it; He then freaks out and proceeds to write a letter apologizing (perhaps not too smart?) So my question is, what he might be able to expect as a followup, and does he still have any options in terms of still being able to claim innocence, by any twist of the imagination? or has he pretty much dug him self in? please help me out here, he's just a kid, living on his own now with no way to cash out some huge fine or anything. Thanks

http://www.fawnfitter.com/tubals.html

It is not illegal to give a woman a tubal ligation surgery (getting her tubes tied), but it is a known fact that many doctors will turn down a woman if she is under a certain age (usually 25-30), or if she has no children - thus making it very difficult for her.

BUT...if a girl of any age walked into an abortion clinic she would be welcomed with open arms without question.

What is up with that? What is going on? How can anybody decide that you're too young to decide if you want children or not? I am not a feminist but I think this is society telling people that women are for nothing but popping out babies and if you don't you'll regret it.

they can tell you the time, place, etc. in which you can assemble and protest...if this is true, why can't they just come up with some really restrictive circumstances if they don't like your political views....like only allowing you to protest from 8:15AM to 8:18AM in a small corner of the street.

All crimes, felonies, misdemeanors, etc punishable by the highest extent of the law (Death Penalty)

Or

All crimes, felonies, misdemeanors, etc punishable by the lowest extent of the low (warning/citation)

so it would be like serial killers and crazy people gettinga citation

or

jaywalkers getting the death penalty.

I was wondering if someone could provide me with some insight to an IC issue. I was contracted to do fashion for a company, and I researched and acquired my own list of names & numbers of vendors. My relationship is now ending on a sour note with this company, and to date they still haven't paid me. Unfortunately, I do not have a written contract. However, they're asking that I turn over my vendor contact list, along with files and a detailed list of procedures required to do my job. Who is the rightful owner of this list? Can someone please help?? Thanks!

I sold a brand new instrument on ebay. the buyer bought it using buy it now and when she got it, claimed it wasn't what she wanted *i think she just changed her mind about it* so she opens a dipsute. of course paypal wen in her favor, but the item can damage, i'm not even sure if it is playable. it was clear to me that paypal was not responding to anything i sent in dispute. not even my calls or emails to support. i doubt if i opened a nother claim against the buyer that they would do anything, even though i have pictures. I took off my credit cards and bank info ahead of time so they couldn't auto withdraw it.

Point is, i now have a negative balance. it's only a little over 50$, will paypal take this to collections if i dont pay it? or do they charge interest fee? has anyone been thru something similar?

i feel so stupid for not reading their TOS more carefully or all the anti-paypal sites and blogs ...
