You don't need to do anything, at least not in the US.

By default, people are not their own religions. So, what you belief, or don't believe, and what you choose to call it, is nobody's business but yours.

Now, if you wanted to legally CREATE a religion, there is paperwork involved to get it recognized so you get some of the special legal perks reserved for ministers. But that's only for creating a new formal religious corporation.

Your personal beliefs are entirely yours.

You can change your religious affiliation daily, even hourly, and the only one who needs to know is you. Well, if you want to belong to or leave a specific church, they're interested. But there is no official civil registration of your religion.

You don't have to tell anyone what your religious affiliation is if you don't want to.

So I don't understand what you are saying. What every religion you are, if Christian as your parents, you just stop going, believing, and practicing.

You are not in contract to any one religion.

Tell your parents to piss off, and then spread the word on how religious fanatics are screwing up the world.

Oh, for those who don't believe that, take a nice HARD look at the middle east. Religion front and center.

Nice to know there are people in the world who will kill for "god". *smirk*

Yeah, what exactly are you asking?
There is no law determining your religion, anyway.
So, the person above me got it right if we understand your question correctly.
Just stop practicing a religion.

Umm...you just stop practicing said religion. Voila.

I'm not sure what you're asking...

You do it by getting out of America if you are in America.
