If it is sell drugs or have you and your family live on the streets, you know what you have to do.
But if you can get a job paying (anything!) which in the US I belive is always possible, then no , think about it does your family want a temporary fix or you around (you can always die dealing).
But in some countries you have no choice I guess. Just know that some peoples lives are being destroyed for every cent you make, is that the way you want your kids to have clothes on their backs?
If there is NO other option I would do it.
Of course I am pretending you are actualy considering it.

Assuming you don't mean "legally"... Ethically, no, because you would be contributing to those who society has ruled should not have access to those drugs. Any of them could turn sour on you at any time and "rat you out" to the authorities in exchange for some plea bargain or two caps of acid, and you would be the one looking at a SWAT team in your jammies. Find some benevolent society that can help you feed your family or find shelter with charitable folks. Crime is always a bad choice.

Only if you're a licensed pharmacist!!!!
If you REALLY need food - there are plenty of agencies, churches, etc. out there who will make sure you get food!! I know because I've been there.
That's what the welfare system of the USA is all about. That's what the charity systems are all about. Quit looking for an excuse and go get real help!

I am assuming you are asking about "illegal" drugs.
Is it ok to sell drugs for a living?--
If you are not licensed to do so, it is illegal.
So I guess that means it is not OK.
However,
If you were selling kittens on the corner to raise money to buy food, you would be breaking all kinds of laws here too. Loitering. Public nuisance. Operating without a license. Not to mention the trouble you would get from the PETA people.
Could selling kittens be morally defended?
Good question.

I have met many people that resort to this to provide for their family. It is not the only option but may seem the easiest and quickest way to make money. It is illegal however and the consequence of getting caught is far more devastating than not being able to provide for a family.

I think the average kid working at McDonalds makes more income than the average street dealer. This topic was addressed in Chapter 3 of "Freakonomics" by Steven D. Levitt, Ph. D. and Stephen J. Dubner.

Everyone has the right to support themselves and their family, but not at the expense of other citizens or society as a whole. Why not just rob a bank? They've got money & you don't have to mess with the middle man.

Sure.
As long as those drugs are not legally prohibited, you can sell them all you want.
But there is no moral justification for breaking the law, and selling illegal drugs, just because you can't figure out another way to make money.

Absolutely. Thousands of Walgreens and CVS pharmacists do so every single day. Many depend on them!

Sure, it is okay. Why would it not be okay to operate a dunkin donuts shop. Gotta get that caffeine fix
