I recieved a notication for possible jury duty. A form asking very intrusive questions is included. I have no problem answering just the basics. The questions I believe are intrusive I would like to answer na(not applicable(I would love to put none of your damn business!)). The end of the form is to be signed and dated. As a signee of this form you are lible for purgery(I the signee under penalty of purgery....state the above to be true). This questionaire form is really an interogation.
I believe once you signed it, it becomes a document in the public domain. It feels like I am being interogated without my lawyer present without having been read my rights for a crime I did not commit!!!! WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS???????? I am I
obligated to answer all questions? Am I obligated to singn and date the form. Can I answer the basics, not sign the form, and just mail it in???

I will be speaking with an attorney soon concerning a 10 year lease I signed (stupidly) with Dominion Gas on 150 acres of mineral rights I own a share in. I feel the lease contracts used by gas and oil companies are unconstitutional and criminal and must be changed.

I got punched in the face, total cheap shot. The guy was charged with battery and has court in September. I had to go to the hospital. I spoke with the police officer today and he told me that I should get my medical bills paid for and also possibly restitution. I was just wondering how much restitution I could possibly get out of this. Anyone know?

I have known both men who have been accused of this falsely and i also know a few woman who have made up accusations of sexual assult either to get back at an ex or for the compensation.
When a man is accused of this if he has kids social services then have to get involved and it takes up to two years to be cleared.

My question is basically why is it so easy to accuse a man of this who then has to go through hell and back until cleared and when found not guilty the woman gets of scot free but the man still has to go through risk assesments and is also branded names in the street.

Something needs to be done like lie detectors or something as its all to easyt to accuse some-one yet a hell of a lot harder to prove their innocence.

P.s Im not talking about the woman who have genuinly been assulted my heart goes out to you but im just pointing out the evil woman who abuse the system to get back at people or try to get thousands of pounds by making false claims.

My insane boss wants to save time by not interviewing candidates first and then calling professional references. She wants me to call professional references first and then ONLY schedule interviews after. However, each candidate I had scheduled for an interview qualifies for the position solely based on their resume. Although I'm calling references first (because my boss does pay my bills), I needed to vent! hehe
Thanks!

ok well, me and my friend were at shoopers drug mart just wandering around, and smelling the perfumes and such. we see this lady following us because she thinks that we're gonna steal or something. so we just buy some chips, a drink then leave. later we come back because we were bored and had nothing to do, so we're walking around right, then all of a sudden we're in this aisle, and the store owner, and the same girl that was following us were standing there, and said- you two come here. the owner was like- customers and employees have been saying that you 2 are shoplifting. empty your pockets in 3 seconds or im calling the police. myself had no pockets, but my friend pulled out her lip gloos that was have used, with the writing faded away. the owner said- camera has taken your pictures, and police will be coming to your house. and dont come back here ever again. then she walked us out. when we were outside we were like- oh my gosh what did we do? thats so not fair.

A friend of mine took in some "friends" that were down on their luck. The INFORMAL agreement was that they would cover half the apartment rent, help out with food costs, etc. She even co-signed on a loan for a car for them so they could get back and forth to work.

She got home yesterday and they, their kid, most of their stuff, and the car was gone. Later, she found out that they most likely moved to Las Vegas, where the husband has relatives.

Ok, my question: Does anyone have any references on the web that would cover her legal rights and responsiblities? For example, if she paid off the car note, could she report the vehicle stolen? Also, I know that she's responsible for their abandoned property....does she have to hold on to it for a certain amount of time before she sells it to recover part of her loss?

My friend rocks, and I'd like to help her out as much as possible on this. She already realized what she got herself into, so no moral lectures please.

Yesterday I was leaving my old apartment building and I only had one way out due to construction. When trying to leave through the only exit, I hit a man hole cover and it tore back the plate on my transmission. Now I called the police and they came, but before they got their the construction company came and put a cone over the man hole (less than 5 minutes after I hit it). Should I be able to go after the company to pay for the repairs if they were negligent?

Yesterday was the 30 day anniverssary that I had gotten robbed at a bus stop waiting for a cab here in Houston because my job let me out so late. I'm trying to find out if they have a right to keep me there against my will when I informed them that I need to please be let out at a decent hour to catch my buses to go home. also I am trying to find out if my manager had a right to tell me, "What you have felt better if the other emplyee stayed and you went home and they had gotten robbed?". What repreccussions can I take against that? Another thing, around 90-95% of the employees that work for the company ride the bus, and I heard that same manager say that she doesn't care who rides the bus because they need to stay, it is their job because she is trired of hearing how people have to catch there bus because they are going to miss it. I am one employee that rides the bus and I am not ashamed to say it, but does she have a right to say that to employees?

With parental consent, do you think this guy be in trouble?

ECORSE, Mich. -- A 19-year-old has been charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct after having a relationship with an 11-year-old girl, police said.
Blake Blythe of Ecorse is accused of having a relationship with the girl and getting her pregnant last summer.
"Not guilty by reason of insanity. He will be sent to forensics center in Ypsilanti," Blythe's attorney said.
Blythe's mother and the girl's mother are also charged because they knew about the relationship. Police said both mothers consented to the two having sex.
Both women have been charged and convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and received one year probation. They can not have unsupervised contact with any minor under the age of 17.
The 11-year-old was removed from the house, along with a younger brother. Neither of them can have unsupervised contact with their mother. The baby is with the 11-year-old mother.

When is enough, really "enough"?
Watching a video of an ethnic group, exercising their rights under our constitution, displaying dozens of flags of THEIR country, while they desecrated, demeaned and grossly treated ours, while wearing bandana's to cover their identity. (Which I thought was illegal, except at Halloween.)
Another video, of a zealous and fanatical religious group, intentionally disrupting a graveside ceremony, of the family and relatives of a soldier killed in Iraq.
The Vietnam demonstrations during the 70's, was at least by citizens, who had earned the right to protest their governments actions.
Is it time perhaps that the United States has simply become too large in population, with a government defying the law and the will of the people?
