This is quite involved, but I'll make it as brief as possible. I've been a volunteer with WIRES for 4 years, and also own and run a non-profit organisation re-homing domestic pets. Recently I was stuck for 2 weeks in Sydney when my car broke down. Upon my return home I discovered my dogs had gotten into boxes of belongings stored on my verandah and strewn the contents around my yard. Another WIRES member who had been out to my place and seen the mess and damage, maliciously took this opportunity to make a written formal complaint to WIRES suggesting I was unfit to care for any type of animal, and I was forced to resign. Her failure to attempt to contact me, and the false allegations she made against me have left me extremely distressed, and I feel she will continue to spread false rumours about me. Another WIRES member has since told me that this person has it in for me, and was determined to have me banned from caring for life. Can anyone tell me if I have a good legal case? Ta

The biological father ran off with my ten week old son. He left a note saying that he is moving to MD with him. My son is 10 wks old and is breastfed. He won't even eat formula.

We took my other two boys to chucky cheese and it was raining when we got home so he said to run inside. I was standing there holding the door open and he never came in. So I walked out with a cover for the baby and the car was gone. When I came all the way into the house, his things were all gone and there was a note. Saying that my son was better off with him and I needed to focus on taking care of my other two boys.

I do not have a lot of money because I receive disability but I will spend every penny I own to get my son. I already lost a child by the hands of his father. He was murdered.

The cops say there is nothing I can do, there has to be something I can do. To run off with a child in such a manner cannot be a good thing.

Someone please help me ...

My son started at Little Ceasars pizza in Las Vegas about 3-4 weeks ago and has been working long hours. They have been calling him in on his days off as well. Wednesday he was supposed to receive his first check and they said there was a problem with payroll. Tonight he just found out that the person that hired him never finished the paperwork and he had never been hired. They told him to fill out another application. Is there anything we can do legally on taking care of this problem. My son is 17 and they have been having him work past midnight on weekends. They say that they are going to try and fix this, but the way that they handle things it doesn't look like they will. I told him to get me a copy of his hours and the day he started and I will start by writing letter to the Corporate office. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

A few years ago I worked for a company that had some scumballs. Long story short, one of my managers made sexual comments towards me (like being with me for a night). Another guy that I knew pretty well grabbed my crotch when no one was around. I just recently decided to tell someone about it.

Do I have a case at all? It's a bit too late to do anything about it, but just wondering.

My personal opinion is that male pedophiles and child molesters should be subject to castration. Whatever they did to their victims, should happen to them. They should be tortured and it should be aired on live television for all pedophiles to see. Does anyone agree? Anyone that would hurt and or harm a child in that manner should be treated cruelly. What are your thoughts on this? I am still thinking about how female offenders should be dealt with. I am mainly concerned with the males, seeing as they are the biggest problem. I am not being sexist, I am a male myself.

still be classified 40yrs after the case.? I admit that I know very little of the case but it seems strange. What I know is that in 1966 a guy called Barry Roberts killed 3 policemen in the course of a robbery, his minimum tariff of 30yrs expired 9yrs ago and each time he applies for parole secret evidence is used to deny parole. I'm not making judgement on the rights or wrongs of the conviction but he's 71 and it just seems strange that the evidence is still secret after all this time

a excerpt from the Plain Dealer...
Smokers and chewers need not apply for work at the Cleveland Clinic.

Beginning Sept. 1, Ohio's second-biggest employer will no longer hire anyone who uses tobacco. The Clinic, with 36,300 employees, will have a bigger job making its work force in Ohio and Florida smoke-free. The Clinic will phase in the hiring policy, which will not affect current employees. It will extend to all vendors employed on Clinic campuses, however.

Beginning Sunday, all applicants will take urine tests screening for nicotine use. Job seekers won't be flagged unless their nicotine exposure passes a threshold that rules out people exposed only to secondhand smoke.

....any laywers out there to protect my rights?
this is wrong on so many levels, even if you are a nonsmoker you should be worried about your rights .This is a "slippery slope"they take govt funds, medicare, grants ect. that said I admit that there are much more pressing issues for our country. but wow

I am finishing paperwork for a Crime Victim Compensation form. Due to the murder of my brother in Wisconsin.

The expenses claimed thus far are:

*Funeral/burial costs
*Travel expenses
*Cleaning brother's house and ridding of his household furnishings, etc
*Medical expenses for my 85 y/o mother, she was unable to attend wake or funeral due to her sudden hospitalization resulting from his death.
*Emotional damage
*Lost wages

Anyone think of anything else that I can add to the expense report? Am at a loss of what else to add.

My friend and I worked in the same company, but different departments (telemarketing). I was in debt collections and was a high producer. She was in customer service and had a bad rep. They rehired her, but not me. My dad died and I was in a car wreck so I quit, she quit because she didn't like it. She was rehired because she "said" she was living on the streets.

Fair, unfair, illegal or legal?

I was recently arrested and posted bail to get out, then went to arraignment and was assigned a pre-trial hearing date. I wanted to know what restrictions on travel there are and if I would be permitted to make a day trip to Canada. Any sources would be helpful too.

ok, my 1st careless driving ticket was issued three years ago and my 2nd careless driving ticket was issued two years ago. my current employer has to be able to insure me on their auto policy in order for me to keep my employment. however, their policies state that i cannot have (2) major offenses (yes, careless driving in their policy constitutes a major offense) or else i cannot be insured. so as of right now, my job is in jeopardy. my employer stated to me that i will need to try and get both tickets reduced to lesser offenses, but i'm not sure how or if it is even possible given the time differential. anyone with any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. my accidents occured in Otero county in Colorado. i currently reside in Pueblo, Colorado. I have already spoken to the the court clerk at Otero county courthouse and she stated to me that the county cannot help me on this matter, but maybe the state given the fact that time is not an issue.
