You for sure need to have him record his hours, copy his timecard ever day and keep a copy to be safe. Request access to his hour by asking them to copy his timecard if he has not done it from the start. I work with someone who alway writes down his hour, he has been doing it for 30+ years
Seeing as he working for the company even off the book because some idoit did not do it right he should get paid without any real problems.
If they refuse to pay for any reason what so ever,he should walk out and then you should go talk to a lawyer and call them personal, if you are to file suit should make it worthwhile.

If i were you i would have someone have some knowledge that he did work there and then ask your son how many hours he worked there and what days. After you have all that go to the pizza place and tell them you want to see the manager and if he cannot be reached and if he is not there tell the other employees that if they do not call him up there will be a good report concerning the store - that should get something out - if the manager is there great / tell him that you want the issue resolved that day with the payroll department and if its not you will call the corporate office and also the dept of labour. Here in Canada if someone doesnt pay their employees on time the store gets a fine of $50,000 if iam not mistaken. The US should have a similar policy so tell the manager that you mean business for your son but make sure that you point out that your son didnt say anything to you and he's a guy who is totally unaware of anything. That way they dont try to take it out on your son later by firing him on a stupid excuse. Its their fault for not finishing the paperwork and also try to get the name of the hiring manager from the manager you speak to so if you do need to call the corporate office then that guy will be toast.
...and by the way if you tell the corporate office about calling the labour department they will make things happen so fast youll be surprised.
Here's the contact and link for the department of labour:
http://www.dol.gov/dol/topic/wages/index.htm
further keep a record of any calls you made to the corporate office and the store so if they still take long and keep on going then the store or the corporate office will not have a chance of getting out of the situation without being fined due to being aware of the situation and having not done smt about it. You can just file for damages and other things a lawyer will detail you on then and youre pretty much guaranteed to get his pay plus expenses and damages.
Good luck

Ok, so the last poster was a little harsh, however, I do agree. Somewhat. At 17, he is fully capible of trying to work this out, he needs to contact HR for the Corporate office in Las Vegas. They are franchised, but have rules. Make sure he documents all hours worked, and rate of pay verbaly given.
If all this fails, take all this information, and with your son, go to small claims court and file a claim for like $20.00, making him fill out the paperwork. This kind of a mix up is a fact of life, could happen at any age, but really, you only have another year to teach him a valuable lesson-to figure it out!
You sound like an amazing mom. Good luck!

By law they have to pay him for the hours he worked. Also by law they do have to have the right papers filled out, but that is just an administrative error easily corrected. I would talk to the Manager yourself to get this expedited much faster. Your son has legal rights that need to be taken care of, and if the manager isn't willing to do so, then go to the Nevada Labor Board http://www.nevadalabor.com/ I would check this site even before you talk to the Manager, so you are educated and prepared when it comes to your sons rights concerning Nevada labor laws

take them at their word and they probably will fix it. however, go ahead and document everything you can. even a hand written journal of your/his opinions on hours worked dates etc. hours worked tips etc all need to be recorded. get his facts down on paper, should there be an issue. lil' ceasers is a big chain, pays hourly, and i suspect very much aware of their obligations. it will probably all work out. but to be on the safe side, sit down and document EVERYTHING to the best of yall's ability.
also, if he likes the job and wants to keep it, be a team player for now. don't get a 'tude. keep going to work and give them time to straighten out what is probably a legit over sight. it's a pisser, but go with it and tell him to hang in!

I don't know what to do personally but you really should stick it to them. That is incredibly scummy and I hope you and your son can work things out.

, why make such a big F####g deal out of a clerical screwup! Your son works there, not you, so why not keep your nose out of where it doesn't belong. They said they'd take care if it. Let them take care of it. If you butt in chances are, your son is history.
