We need a single dominate culture, built up from the multitude of cultures here in America. More of a stew pot than a melting pot, where one ingredient flavors others while all keep their individual characteristics. There is nothing wrong with intermixing since it helps blend the cultures and form bonds across the cultures to help cement them together

You're young. You have been taught that marrying within your own is borderline racist and close minded.

It's a very nice iealology but that's all it is. Studies show Making friends and marrying within your own socio-ethnic and economic class creates a greater possibility of success in friendships and survival of marraige. As you age you will find more and more what I say is true. Not that you can't be friends with a Jewish person or Marry and Asian Woman. Of course you can, however the odds of the relationship surviving is against you. Human Beings natrally create excusionary attitudes in hopes to winnow out the weak. If ou go to an all whit small town you will even find the Methodists don't want the Baptists' sons marrying their daughters. That's not racism that Biology + sociology = reality of human nature.

There is no law that says that people must give up their cultural heritage. They may speak whatever language they wish, worship according to their faith, and eat what they want to.

That being said, they also must admit that learning the customs and the common language of their new home will only help them be accepted by the locals and will help them communicate with others. Most 911 call centers do not have translators fluent in Chinese, Swahili, Pushtu, Russian, Arabic, etc. It would be best if the immigrants learn to say "Send a fire truck to (address)" or "Police needed at (address)" in the most common language spoken there.

hell no !...one who does support this submergence is a fool.
you can all get mad for this, but its the truth...
ethnic groups do not want to be mixed...not any of them
asians like to be with asians
africans like to be with africans
europeans like to be with europeans
the cess pool under which this country is currently submerged is due to this submergence.
africans do not want equality...they want dominance...they want to completely turn the tables on slave masters from 150 years ago, which is insane
the races are better when they stay with their own kind
any of them, white, black, brown, yellow...it does not matter which one you are, you know that you prefer to be with your own as a general rule...
sure there are exceptions, but the exceptions prove the rule...not disprove it
WHAT IS A RACIST ?
anyone who recognizes the differences in the races and acts and reacts accordingly.
whites are not superior
blacks are not superior
neither are browns or yellows or whatever...
we're all just different...physically, mentally, spiritually
we are built different
we think differently
we worship our God(s) differently
anyone who does recognize this...IS A RACIST...& that does not mean that you are full of hate...
it means you are a sane individual
and on the other hand, if you are not a racist, YOU ARE INSANE....all the way, bub..

I'm inclined to leave that up to the members of the various ethnic groups. Personally, I have no trouble being proud of my heritage and 100% American at the same time.

To a certain degree. We can't melt down the world into Western, capitalist, McCulture. That would suck.

Well... a melting pot would imply assimilation. It depends on whether or not you feel that this is a bad thing.

I know what you are talking about. One day in the future....all people on this planet will share the same color. I will withhold my personal views about that at this time. I will say that I'm glad that I won't be here to see it.
