I was recently arrested and posted bail to get out, then went to arraignment and was assigned a pre-trial hearing date. I wanted to know what restrictions on travel there are and if I would be permitted to make a day trip to Canada. Any sources would be helpful too.

Most people on bail are not allowed out of the city, state or country without the permission of the judge. Ask your bail bondman. If you go they will put you in jail until your trial if you are caught.

I think you MUST stay in the state you reside in at the moment until your court case is cleared----they never LET people fly off to Canada who are awating any kind of TRIAL... it's called a flight risk... sit home till it's over--or until you are done serving your time.

not on your own, you need to consult with your attorney. especially leaving the country. They can forfeit your bail and toss you back into the hoosgow, with even more charges that you have now. Play it safe and contact your attorney/legal counselor

UNLESS THE JUDGE PUT A RESTRICTION ON YOUR RELEASE. YES GO BUT SHOW UP ON YOUR COURT DATE . LIKE MOST JUDGES SAY YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CANT HIDE. YOU ONLY BE TIRED WHEN WE CATCH YOU.
