We just moved to Illinois and I was trying to get my records transfered to my new doctor from Indiana. I got a bill in the mail for $60 and they sited the "Indiana House Entolled Act 1081". When I checked this out it had nothing to do with us! I'm curious as to what the laws are on transfering records for Indiana. When we moved from Texas to Indiana it was free as long as they were sending them to the doctor. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

I was wrongfully mistreated at this company i was working at 3-4 years ago. I got fired for no legitimate reseaon except that i was too "white" for the job (by the way i am asian). I didn't think about sueing the company or anything because i was still young and i thought i couldn't do anything because i didnt record the conversation. But now that im older and thinking about the past, can i still press charges?

I parked my car on resident’s property, where I reside with a valid resident's parking permit, which is visible. This decision to park in the parking lot was due to the street sweepings, which were to take place the following morning. I normally park on the street. The following morning I found my car impounded which management ordered. After management refused a courtesy warning to me through the tow company, management forced me to pay over $200 to retrieve my vehicle. When I file a claim in small claims, is it possible the property will be found liable?

Should an 18 year old go to jail and be branded a sex offender for the rest of his life because he had sex with his 16 year old girlfriend. or even 17 year old girlfriend?? If you say yes? then I would have a strong urge to punch you in your self-righteous face. What about when a girl lies about her age? Sweet little innocent girls can really be manipulative evil little c*nts (excuse my french) when they want to be, and I know one who actually proudly keeps up a tally of all the guys she sent to jail by lying and is proud of this fact. When a minor decides to shoot up a school or commit any other crime he's deemed "mentally fit" enough to realize he did something wrong that caused misery to others, yet a "minor" girl isn't held accountable for purposely misrepresenting themselves and therefore ruining an innocent and yes i said INNOCENT man's life. Little girls idolize Paris Hilton ,want to be sluts, they get caught and to save face in front of their parents they blame the guy.hm fair!

Hi,

Previously, I've asked:
1- How can we ban fast food from the breakfast/lunch/dinner table?
2- Is obesity a burden on society or a burden on the individual?

On my blog : www. banfastfood.com I write against fast food as the primary choice for children and families.

why should hate crime legislation be passed? what good will it do? just take away the rights of the majority of americans, to protect the radicallist agendas of the civil rights groups? besides, does the motive really have more importance than the crime it's self?

And how do you prove hatred? I watched on The Coral Ridge Hour a man who was a former homosexual tell the story of how he was punished by law for telling a gay man that the path he is taking goes nowhere, only to pain. The man was motivated by compassion and mercy, not by hate, yet he still had to go through the months of trials and (if I remember correctly) had to go through simpathy training, led by a lesbian couple.

This legislation hurts more people than it helps. besides, it's unconstitutional. the first amendment forbids the abridgement of the Freedom of Speech.

Why is Hate Crime Legislation good for America?

Why is the VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) even on the books? Is it not a clear contradiction to the 14th Amendment, providing EQUAL protection under the law? It seems ridiculous to me that only women can be legally protected from domestic violence, when it's been shown that men and women commit acts of violence at similar rates. If a woman beats a man, throws something, threatens with a weapon, etc. is this not a crime?

If we are truly interested in equality, why not have laws that state NO gender biss? Do we not really care about any man if he is abused, beaten, threaten, assaulted, etc.?

Why is this law allowed to continue to be on the books?

Since 1963, People found out that tobacco and smoking was bad for you, so why didn't they just make it a law that you cant use tobacco. No matter how much money the tobacco companies have, we should be able to drive them out of buisness

According to a police representative, if any of us are seen naked we have comitted a sexual offence.
When queried, she said some people would be greatly offended at seeing a naked body.
What monster have Human Beings become when we see our own bodies as offensive? I love wearing clothes, but I feel like going out naked just to defend the false charge against my body.

Canada is infamous for its peaceful, drama free society. It's close to never at war and/or controversy, no one has a bone to pick with them, the ppl are friendly and I heard the crime and racism are superbly low, FREE healthcare goes to all of its citizens and for those this applies to--pot is actually legal. Canada sounds like a virtual Wonderland whereas America seems riddled by war, controversy, racism, terrorism, poor job market, high cost medical insurance and too may unisured citizens, amongst other faulty systems. Even inspite all of that, I enjoy American culture and prefer being a US citizen than anywhere else; but I know it's not just me when I say the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence?

I can see tons of positives in legalizing marijuana. I can think of a couple reasons why people are agaisnt it. But, some of those reasons are just their opinion and can not be supported by any solid facts. It is very cliche to compare the legalization of marijuana to alcohol but it is a very accurate comparison. Yes, it may cause people to drive high, but people do drive drunk. One thing that is different here is marijuana is not nearly as dangerous as alcohol while driving a motor vehicle. It is also not nearly as dangerous in general. The facts show that no one is dying from marijuana but there is thousands dying from alcohol or tobacco. I'm having troubles finding negatives. So what im asking is What are some negatives or some problems that would occur if we did legalize marijuana. (The best answer will get 10 points.)

My sister had her car repoed like 6 years ago. The bank has been filing to get the money left on it after it was sold. (Its close to 3K) anyways she looked up on her credit report and it showed a judement against her. When she looked up the court records online it said that they had served her with court notices like 3 times and everytime she has gotten them...which is a bold face lie. She never knew she was being served. She never once had anybody server her at home or her job. My question is how long can they try to get the money from her or will this thing go on forever?
