Some inconsiderate prick stole my laundry basket and I just realized that they also stole two towels out of the dryer I was using.....what the hell? I hope I find the person who did it. It's not the money factor obviously, it's the fact that they think they can just go into someones laundry and take it.......ugh!!!

I guess I'm just bitter b/c my fiance has had TWO cars stolen within 2 years. That's obviously worse than a basket and 2 towels.....but it's still in the same mindset......people feel that it's ok to steal others things that we have had to work for. Even if it was some person who needed it b/c they were poor, as mean as it may sound.....it's NOT my problem. There are plenty of places around to get help and guess what. If they needed the stuff that bad I can promise you if they would have left a note telling me that.....I wouldn't be so pissed. I do NOT however think it was some poor family. These apartments aren't exactly cheap and I really believe it was just some perv (there it a really weird guy that always walks around here cleaning the grounds) that wanted to get off on some towels. People are sick and I'm sick of people stealing.

I sympathize with you there. Having spent many a year in various apartments, I have had laundry and laundry detergent stolen.

And it's the violation that really irks, isn't it?

I'm not a new age hippy, but maybe it's karma trying to tell you to be nicer to people in general?

There are some people who don´t realize stealing is bad, they just saw your laundry basket and thought it was OK to take it and keep it.
They act like that because they didn´t have good and responsible parents or they just didn´t have a good education.
If you´re a mother, you are responsible for what your kids do, and you have to teach them to think of what is right and what is wrong.
I hope that helped you ;)

For the same reason people speed up towards the intersection when the light changes to yellow, so they can piggyback their way through a red light! They're inconsiderate jerks and don't care about anyone but themselves. Sorry about your towels. That does stink.

On a grander scale:
It boggles my mind even further that whenever there's a riot in the street, LOOTING stores in the neighborhood takes place and the people Always feel justified.

There will always be that element of society who figures what's yours is theirs no matter what.

In society there will always be a certain segment of people who believe that humanity is there to serve them, and yet fail too realise that they to are human. In most instances these people lack social skills and are, well, jerks.

Awww, cmon Law, most people who steal don't do it because they're in dire need. They do it because they're selfish and they want to!

Try not to let it bug you too much, Kim; just try not to leave your stuff unattended anymore.
