If someone was raped according to the definition of Rape by the law, should she still report it even though she consented afterward to not be a rape victim?

There are some states that say a guy or girl can say no at anytime during sex, if the other person does not stop it's rape.

As I was watching those Dateline to catch a predator series. I noticed that one man was a DR. and they caught him in California for soliciting a minor for sex on the internet. He was convicted of a felony and then later they caught him again in another state. He was again working as a DR. Dont they do background checks? Can teachers do this? Can they commit a felony in one state and go to another state to work without anyone knowing of their felony? Does anyone know? I am in school now to be a teacher. I know that California does a background check through the FBI and through California systems. Does every state check nationwide for criminal activity? Do some states only check in their state or their county? Where could I find this information? I think that I would be interested in making it a universal law that every state check nationwide...

some weirdo hackers think they can deny me service and chat because someone they know says so, although I have no association with any of them. Are they mentally unbalanced because they do this? or am i mentally unbalanced to complain its being done to me? What day did it become someone elses business to directly invade my personal freedoms, rights and privacy ,a nd then not understand that they are doing that. Why isnt this something the feds would stop as its unconstitutional and violates federal statutes.

Due to the fact that an ever increasing number of US teens cannot drive. They are too busy texting their friends while eating Taco Bell on the highway. 33% of US high school students do not graduate now. Waivers and exemptions could be made for kids who must work (and can prove it) or were in the military. Seems like a great idea to me, it would take millions of drivers off the road..????

I should not say "worst" but as the media tends to tag them that. The issue maybe more than the gun laws and than again it may not. I am just looking for unbiased facts.

Because I keep hearing that in order to get a police report you have to be the victim, accused, lawyer, law enforcement agency, etc. You can't just obtain one because you want to.

If this is true, then how do reporters like on Entertainment channels obtain celebrity police reports almost immediately after the crime happens?

My husband and I are thinking about a seperation. Our two year anniversary is just two weeks away, but for many reasons, we're both ready to just move on. We have an eight month old son, so this is completely heartbreaking, at least on my part, but I can't live with him anymore. I'm sick of being so unhappy. So, which would make more sense? I'm a sahm, so I won't have the insurance that his work provides, so that's going to be tough, and is one of the reasons we're considering the legal seperation. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How can I negotiate with hospital who has lien on personal injury settlement when they say they wont discount!
Question Details: I was hit by a woman and am recieving a small settlement. Hospital put a lien against her insurance company for FULL BALANCE ONLY and when I called to see if they would negotiate a lower amount they laughed and said, No way. They dont lower the bill for a liability accident and want the full balance paid. I figure that is horrid business ethics when Point A. Someone goes into a hospital with insurace and pays and the insurace company NEVER pays full balance ONLY A PERCENTAGE! and Point B. Someone goes into the hospital without any insurance and they ALWAYS NEGOTIATE A LOWER BILL FOR THEM> So WITH or WITHOUT insurace they will lower the bill, but because they want their greedy little hands on ALL THE money they file a lien and wont lower the bill!! ANY HELP OUT THERE ON HOW TO NEGOTIATE GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED!!!

On Monday, I believe I will be awarded a default judgment against an individual for assault and battery.

Can this judgment be dismissed if the individual files for bankruptcy?

My mother's attorney said that a judgment for an assault and battery case cannot be dismissed whereas judgments awarded for other matters may be dismissed.

If you are wondering what happened, three years ago I made the mistake of attempting to break up a fight that was taking place outside my neighbors house. One of the onlookers wasn't happy with me holding people back and hit me with a metal pipe from behind. As I laid unconscious, I was kicked in the face multiple times. My jaw was fractured and I had to undergo multiple surgeries to correctly align it (a titanium plate had to be screwed into my right mandible). The individual basically got a slap-on-the-wrist in the criminal court because his lawyer was able to get him tried as a youthful offender.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I want to use a widely available image of a public figure, say Larry King, on my own website, how do I make sure whether it is in the public domain thus having no copyright protection? Since usually it is the photographer that owns the copyright, is there a simple way to find out whom the photographer is, or I should contact the public figure directly? What about those images floating on the internet that are TV screen shots of Larry King broadcasting? Are they safe to use?

They are still going to charge him regardless, and they have him on a parole hold trying to revoke it. We need to know what his options are and how to move things along. This is in Louisiana.

In febuary I moved into a new apartment in which the utilitis are all electrically run. I received a letter from Peco energy saying they would cut off my service if not paid. I called Peco to inform them that I did not move into the apartment ubtil Febuary 2nd 2007,and the electric was already on. The customer service says that I owe this bill and they hold me liable. My question is what actions may I take for fraud, because I have documents stating when I moved in and the fact that the previous renter died and was a sickly person.
