I have a person who works at a large company. This company recently told her that she will not get paid for her work last week, because the work was, "easy." We all know that is ridiculous, but I need to find the Florida or Federal Statute that specifically says an employer is required to pay for hours worked.

I work in Michigan. I might have found a new job and the new pay period for my old job would start on June 17. This is also the day that I would be eligible to receive my 80 hours of vacation. I was going to put in my last two weeks so that my last day would be on the 18th or 19th, which would be after the start date of my eligible vacation. If they decided to fire me before this, hoping to not have to pay me the vacation time, are they expected to pay up until the 2 weeks plus my vacation time that I earned under Michigan labor laws?

I am a beneficiary to part of an estate in Texas (where I reside)and I'm being left in the dark. I would like to see what is being done as far as the numbers are concerned.

I need a tactfull way of asking for this information through a letter to my father (the executor) and his attorney. Father and I have never met so it is not like I can just call and ask him.

Thank you for your help!

The applicable laws, GoMah GR, and judgments by Bombay HC confirm that the service charges must be levied "per member" and not "per flat" or "per area". Despite this, the society has passed a resolution by simple majority to charge all components of the maintenance "by area".

they used the ownership of a fence to set off a dispute, they where not registerd, we are and have the title plan, title deeds, and a covenant to prove where our boundary lay, the lay of the land also proved it, the boundary has been established and in place since 1898 the nieghbours refused to except it, and used tactics to financialy ruin us, and to affect our health to such a extent, we became too ill to continue, there is so much to this story that needs to be told, the fence serves no purpose what so ever for our nieghbours other that to prevent our use of the roadway that gives access to the rear of our property which runs the whole lenth of our poperty, they are situatated at the end of the roadway, which was built in 1962, the roadway has been there since 1898. we did not get chance to get the matter to court because of the tactics used by our niegbours, what they got they got under duress, and the agreement goes against the land and property law, and contravines a covenant.

Can you have a principle/head and teachers sacked for expelling you/your kid for appearing in Playboy/topless

http://www.buzzpatrol.com/links/polish-high-school-student-expelled-for-playboy-shoot/

And actually many examples one girl in my old secondary school a few years before got expelled for becomming a page 3 model age 16.

Expelling an otherwise good , well behaved, nice, careing, sweet student who does not bully anyone, disrupt classes without good reason (ie if they are right they have the right to counter argue or if defending others), put anyone at risk etc.

Ie did nothing wrong and getting paid a ton of money just for getting photographed in birthday suit by a reputable complany that could possibly lead to a lucrative part time job that could help pay uni costs.

And make you popular in regards getting a date.

Ruins lives unfairly... And forget rules are rules only just rules are to be respected.

So why not legally turn tables & wreck heads career

A foreign bank has sent me legal notice under section 138 of negotiable instrument act for cheque returned unpaid. As per them the cheque was issued against the payment of credit card.

I do not have any card of this bank and have never issued such cheque to anyone as described in the notice. My wife is very annoyed with me on this even though I have explained to her this is a wrong notice.

What are the legal remedies available to me? Can I file suit for defamation? Can I demand compensation for mental agony?

Last year I had a baby and was out on maternity leave and FMLA. I returned back to work 4 weeks early from my FMLA, I decided to use up the last of my FMLA last month in April before my daughter turned one and couldn't use the time anymore. While I was on FMLA with one week left I had to have surgery and have my gallbladder removed, so at that time my doctor placed me on disability for 2 weeks. I called my employer the friday before the Monday that I had to be back from my FMLA to let them know that I was on disability, my h.r. rep told me to send in my dr.'s note. So the following week when I went to the dr. for my check up the dr. gave me a note stating I was going to be off for one more week. I mailed it in to my job. That Thurs. I received an email from an ex coworker saying that she heard that I had gotten fired because I did not return from my FMLA. When I called them up on fri. they told me that I was fired because I didn't come back when I was suppose to. Is this legal? Help?

I'm finishing up pre-reqs for pharmacy school. 7 years ago (right after my 18th birthday) I was arrested for being with my girlfriend, who was only 2 years and 2 months younger. *Technically* I had to be charged, but even the judge didn't think I should be - I only got probation. But I did manage to land a nice 'child abuse' on my record along with lacivious battery.

I'm really worried I'll get through 4 years of school only to find out I won't be hired.

PS: I did contact CVS headquarters and got the response that they review backgrounds on a case to case basis. If anyone can shed some insight please do!
