If a couple get married in one jurisdiction, then visit another where one or both of them is under the legal age of consent, is it legal for them to have sex in the second jurisdiction, or must they wait until them go home again, or until they move to another jurisdiction where the age of consent permits them to have sex? I'm interested in the answer either in a US or international context, or both. Thanks!

i think that people who do drunk driving and reckless driving should have worse punishments. if a driver kills other people, they only get a few years in prison while the famliy of the people who die have to suffer for a long time. once the drivers get out of prison, theres nothing stopping them from drinking and driving.

The FBI arrived at the Virginia home of Rep. John Doolittle (R-CA) and his wife Julie last Friday to execute a search warrant pursuant to their investigation of the Doolittle's ties to imprisoned lobbyist Jack Abramoff. The unfolding scandal surrounding Abramoff has cut a wide swath through Congress, tarnishing former Rep. Tom DeLay, sending Rep. Bob Ney to prison, and filling the courthouse with a line of staffers and aides offering testimony and pleading guilty. Now federal investigators have turned their attention to the Doolittles. They crossed paths with Abramoff on a number of occasions; John Doolittle did favors for Abramoff in his scheme to bilk Native American tribes all the while taking huge campaign contributions from Abramoff and his associates, and Julie's fundraising firm was contracted by Abramoff's sham non-profit the Capital Athletic Foundation. Doolittle has since resigned his position on the powerful House Appropriations Committee as the investigation continues.

This is actually about my mom's boss, but it affects me as well. Basically, I babysit my sisters on the weekends so my mom can go out of town for this Karaoke business she's starting. Recently, her boss (from her day job, not the karaoke business) called the county and told them that she received a phone call from my sisters saying that they were left home alone for the weekend. This is a total lie, I've been there with with them every weekend. Long story short, my mom is now facing a possible eviction. I know what her boss did has got to be illegal, but what can be done about it? If it requires a lawyer, we don't have the money for that?

Would it be considered unethical to go for a lower paying job by omitting the fact that you have a masters degree? Why?

People do need to make a living.

There is obviously more to the story than his little bratty daughter not answering the phone. It would make no sense to say that stuff for just not answering the phone.

Now with that said, why in the world is everyone making a big deal about this?

Being called a pig, rude, etc isn't bad. Are now living in a society of arm chair quarterbacks that think they can dictate how you can talk to your kids?

I wish "pig" was the worst thing my parents ever called me.

This morning I found a mobile phone I picked it up and put it in my bag.

When I got to my car I had a look at the phone a Sony Erricsson.

Had a look at the pictures in the memory and there were pics of father and baby child and husband and wife (I presume)
Then I had a guilty trip and thought these are pics of his wife and child.
Also I thought If I lost my phone then hopefully somebody would hand it in and all would be ok!

So I took the phone to the place where I found it. The assistant asked me where I found the phone and I showed the assistant where it was. Then followed him back to his work station.

He then immediately gave the phone to this bloke who was standing at his work station who had obviously lost it.

All I heard was 'Oh man you have found it' I made a quick exit!

Now I know I have done the right thing but I still feel guilty for taking it in the first place!

What do other people think?

My partner purchased a settee, on finance, (buy now pay later or pay full amount of settee in12months time and pay no interest.) My partner didn't live with me when we purchased the settee, he took out the credit agreement in his name from his mothers address. He did this as a favour for me, as i couldn't get the finance, we agreed that i would save up to pay for the settee outright at the end of the 12 months. I saved up the money and shortly after my partner moved in with me, however due to him constantly leaving me in financail difficulties i had to keep breaking into the settee money to pay bills etc, soon it was all gone, Now my partner and i have seperated, it is time to pay for the settee and he is refusing to pay the finance, and has told me he will get them to re-possess the settee rather than pay for something he is not using.
Can he do this? Can they take my settee away even though it is not me that has broken the credit agreement?? Help!! I am worried sick, i have 3 kids

Given that each of these school shootings occur for same reasons

why are those who bullied Cho Seung-Hui, who killed 32 people not arrested for their part in the killings of the students?

Much like if somone brings up a dog with no love treating it badly then it mauls a child you arrest the owner.

Well all this abuse and bullying and lack of friends and relatioships appears to have created this time bomb which went off much like the collumbine massacures etc.

ie causeing messed up emotional development with any teachers who let this go.

In Switzerland ALL houses have a rifel yet no school shootings.

A left wing, socialist caring society.

America... competitive, ruthless, money and social hyrachy society.

those kicked to the bottom eventually snap much like the film Carrie but with guns instead of pyschkentic powers...

In the end its the same thing so why are those who started this not arrests and made an example of to stop these happening agai

All council meetings are open to the public. Item two on the agenda permits any member of the public to speak on any subject, (chairmans discretion, usually 3mins but could be five) That is stated on their published leaflet. Item two was overlooked, (being the good boy, I could not intervene) Meeting closed, when I questioned why members of the public were not permitted to speak, the mayor proclaimed, "it is the law".
Now is that statement correct, in view of the fact that we are in the election month, if it is where is the law on it?

OK, I am from Baltimore City. It is not illegal to own a dirt bike, but it is illegal to ride one on city streets, or city parks. The little boy was sitting on a brand new dirt bike his mom bought him. He was sitting on the sidewalk on the front of his house. The police then grabbed him off of the bike, and took him to Central Bookings, one of the worst places to be in Baltimore, even for a criminal.

Today on the news the Police commissioner stated that they completely followed the procedures when it came to the child and they did nothing wrong.

Now, I cant see why they didn't just have some compassion for the child and leave him alone. The motor was not turned on, and he was on his property. Am I wrong for being on the child's side?
