I worked for a pizza parlor in the early part of 2006, I have called this company countless times to get ahold of the owner so I can get my W2 forms, but it seems like they are playing the he says/she says game, the messsage never gets relayed, and I am unable to file until I get my forms from them. Is there any laws or legal rights I have to press charges against this business?

Will the FBI divulge the type of drugs, and miligrams the killer at Virginia Tech was taking, and why is this information not immediately available to the public? Can the victims seak reperations from the drug companies? I say this because the next day there were articles about antidepressants from the drug companies saying these class of drugs were perfectly safe useing statics.

Should we change the guaranteed right to be a citizen if you are born in the US. Should it be only if your parents are citizens or if they are here legally. Should people born here only be given legal status to be here but not out and out citizenship. If we were to make these changes would it be from now on or make it retroactive?

Term limits, bicameral legislation, Bill of Rights, electoral college, Balance of power, or anything else.

Please include reasons why you feel that the authors included it in the Constitution, and the reasons why it shouldn't be there.

I'm asking for balanced answers that weigh positives and negatives, not just rants.

I am going to be opening a daycare in my home. I would like to offer my services to smoke free families only as children from smoking homes have higher instances of upper respiratory infections and those are of course brought to daycare and everyone gets sick. I have contacted my state licensing and they cant give me an answer. Evidently no one has ever done this before. I am not trying to discriminate, but just provide the healthiest enviornment possible for small children. To me it makes perfect sense. And as a parent who has had their children in daycare before I can see nothing but advantages to this policy. Any feedback? Anyone ever done or heard of this before? Thanks!

Vermont is the second safest state in the Union:

http://www.boston.com/news/local/vermont/articles/2007/03/22/vt_2nd_safest_state_in_annual_ranking/

But it, along with Alaska, are the two states in the Union that allow unrestricted concealed weapons, with no permits necessary. In fact, in Vermont, ANYONE over SIXTEEN who has not been convicted of a felony can carry a concealed weapon.
http://www.nraila.org/statelawpdfs/VTSL.pdf

On the other hand, Washington D.C., which allows NO concealed weapons, and is ranked as the 4th most dangerous "big" city in the country, and the 19th overall:
http://www.morganquitno.com/cit07pop.htm#25

I am confused. Is this purely a coincidence? Why would criminals in Washington D.C. have guns? They know there is a law against it?
I mean, do the politicians in D.C. really expect the criminals to obey their gun conrol laws? Why or why not?

I live in Illinois and I was demoted a couple weeks ago because my employer found out that I wanted to further my education which might possibly involve my moving therefore they demoted me. I earned two weeks of vacation before I was demoted and had requested and been approved for one of the vacations prior to demotion as well. The week before I was to go on vacation is when they finally demoted me and lowered my pay. The check I received for my vacation is under my new pay not the old pay rate in which I earned the vacation. Shouldn't they have to pay me under my old pay rate cause hell If I ran a business and wanted to save money anytime someone took a vacation I would just demote them before hand and lower the pay rate so that I wouldnt have to pay them as much for the time off. I have never been reprimanded for anything nor caused any problems so I don't get why on earth they want to jerk me around when they wanted to promote me the day before they knew I wanted to pursue school

Recently a family member passed away. There seems to be a dispute that fortunately I am not involved in, however I am curious to know who is legally entitled to the home. The person who passed away owned the home prior to a 7 year marriage to the widow. The deceased has no will. In California, who is entitled to the home? The Widow who was married to the person for seven years, or the children of the deceased from a previous marriage?

I was wrongfully fired from my last employer. we had a conflict over wages and overtime that they said they didn't have to pay me for but when I called the wage dept (after several request for them to pay me the 400. they ripped me off) they were in the wrong. a few months later they were ordered to pay all the employees that they had ripped off in the past 2 years. My check for back wages was dated for the 26th and i was fired on the 27th. They knew they couldn't fire me legally for calling the wage dept so they made up a reason (gossiping). They could not say that I was not doing my job or anything in the wrong. The thing is I have proof that i was not around (home on medical leave) when the so called gossiping had taken place.

I live in MI, he lives in Alaska he has had nothing to do with the kids and only pays child support for a week or two after they catch up with him then he quits and gets a new job. He is fully in support of terminating his rights. I realize I will no longer receive any child support and am fine with that. I want to be the only one responsible for them and do not want to have another male adopt them. Is this possible and can anyone recommend a good lawyer in the Metro Detroit area?
