The time is too short to make the impeachment worthwhile.

My nephew died in Iraq Monday. Time is too short to bother with impeachment!!! How many more lives do you thoughtless Bush supporters want to sacrifice for a lost cause? Why can't any of you understand this is not winnable? Our troops are exhausted. My nephew had been on patrol for 18 hours the day he died. We are extending tours of duty for another 15 months. We're sending in un-ready Guard troops who are, in my state at this very moment, working the Mexican border. I know I sound like a broken record, but no matter when we leave, Iraq will fall apart. It's an articial country put together by Winston Churchill. The surge is obviously not working based on the deaths this week alone. The fight between the Sunnis and Shiites is about whether Ali is the legimate heir to Mohammad and that's a 1300 year old argument. Iran's helping one side and Saudi Arab's helping the other. Sorry for the rant. Guess I'm not doing well today on this topic.
On impeachment, Clinton lied about sex. That was grounds for impeachment. You don't think we can find one single thing Bush lied about? I'll bet we can.

Impeachment is a waste of time and resources. And here is why:
1) Bush is going to be out of office in a very short amount of time. It doesn't matter.
2) Unlike the last President he hasn't lied under oath in a Congressional investigation, nor has he shredded documents, nor has he disgraced the office of the President.
3) Time and effort can be better spent on other more important things like stabilizing Iraq, supporting the troops, keeping the economy strong, and just about anything else you can think of.
An impeachment is uncalled for and would be a tactic in delayed vengeance by the Democrats who didn't think Hillery and Bill deserved to have been impeached.

its not the highest priority and its political suicide unless you are sucessful.

When they tried to impeach Clinton all they did was make him more popular and near untouchable..while many conservatives lost the next election

Here the risk is they the democrats will turn Bush into a somewhat popular president again and hurt themselves in 08.
You want him to be president until then and become more amd more unpopular...the goal is to have thoughts of Bush on the minds of conservatives when they cast their vote or decide not to vote...Right now democrats have the same shaky ...he lied...evidence to submit Bush to impeachment as they had against Clinton...not a smart move by a smart politician.

According to the Constitution:
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

It says nothing about incompetence or poor leadership. If those calling for impeachment can come up with evidence of a crime (not just incompetence), have at it.

It shows intelligence to no longer pursue a job that does no longer make a difference besides, however if there became a gamble to locate him accountable, which i do no longer think of there is. i'm by no potential a Republican, I truthfully tend to facet with Democrats, yet I decide to call myself man or woman who votes for the suited candidate. Why attempt to question a President that may not effect in a accountable verdict while he has decrease than a 12 months left in his Presidential tenure. in case you desire to seek for a blemish on his checklist, permit history look after that. Historians, besides the reality that still accountable of partisanship, tend to communicate the reality approximately how persons served interior the ordinary public sector.

Set a date and open the voting booths, I want to be first to vote for impeachment. It is the highest priority. You have one man keeping this country in a war no one (besides him and the replublics) wants to be in. "Vietnam 2 – 5000 US Blunders in the Middle East. He tried to finish what his dad started, but failed miserably. Get someone new in right now.

For the people, by the people? Why can't we get him out then?

Well, Vermont seantors are showing their stupidity . It's nothing but political chest thumping. Juniors in a high school government class know that impeachment follows perjury or illegal actions. They may not like him, but he hasn't done either. Really, now, with the Gonzales hearings underway, shouldn't they be looking at the business at hand?

Impeachment is to good for this president, let him twist in the wind for the rest of his term
For all you kool-aid drinkers that say there is no crimes to impeach Bush, how do we know what they are hiding if they shred the documents of their lies and deceit.
