When Reagan testified at Iran-Contra, he repeatedly claimed he could not remember. Turned out it was true; the doddering fool was suffering from dementia while President. Maybe Gonzales is too.

Clinton was a liar, a goddammed liar. I critiqued him too WHEN HE WAS PRESIDENT. I can actually dislike both liars. I don't have to choose one over the other.

Yes he needs to be treated for Alzheimer's the Reagan Republican defense against doing unlawful things like telling lies to Congress while under oath.
I do not see how Bush and BushCo can support a man that has such a poor memory in such a office as the United States Attorney General. If his memory is actually that bad then he is ill-equipped to handle his office! If he is using the Reagan Republican Defense, then he should be tried for perjury.
I think Congress needs to subpoena the hard drives the Republican National Committee supplied the White House and have them all scrutinized by a special prosecutor for any emails that have anything to do with the firings of the US Prosecutors.
I am sure the lid to Pandora's Box would be blown off and heads would start rolling.
Then Bush, Cheney and Rove can all attempt to use the Reagan Republican Defense.
I believe there is much more there in the White House that is improper and unlawful if we can just get things rolling, we could quickly get these clowns out of office with the Republicans in Congress leading the way.

Reagan was an actor attempting to portray the role of a president. When politicians get caught doing something wrong, they can't even remember what they had for breakfast that morning. Gonzales needs a lobotomy.

I can remember, and I remember that President
Clinton (Democrat) said "I don't recall" or "I don't
remember" over 150 times while he was speaking
to the Grand Jury inquiries. You only seem to
remember when Republicans can't remember.
When someone asks you the date and time you
spoke to a certain person on the phone, do you
yourself even remember that? Those on the panel
for Gonzalez are on a witch hunt...they've tried it
on Bush, Rice, Cheney, and any Republican they
can, to bring down this administration. Haven't
they got better things to do? It won't be long when
all these will be out of office, so why the urgency to
try to oust them with all these inquiries?

I think the best way is to commit him to a mental asylum for a day. Then zap his chest with 10,000 volts (that sort of thing used by doctors to revive unconscious patients). Do that three times. I bet that would be enough to make him remember everything.

A Profile in courage...I would rather lie than tell the truth. Great leadership for the Attorney General. Why do we even count perjury as a crime...no one tells the truth under oath.
