I had a minor DUI, did community hours and paid my fines, will it follow me for rest of my life or will it go away in some years?

If you believe a law is bad for society, don't you think it's better to ignore it. Or do you feel it's important to obey the authorities no matter what they tell you to do?

In light of the recent events at Virginia Tech, should there be a psychological equivalent of Megan's law at places such as universities, government agencies, etc. or would that cause a "witch hunt" effect?

Or is there already a form of this that exists, where a parent who is concerned of their child's safety, can ask the head of the school, to disclose this information?

The hell with hindsight...If I were a parent, I wouldn't care if it violated someone elses rights of privacy. I would think of it as an ultimate preventative measure or form of self defense.

are you able to sue someone that took up fundraising in your son's name and never gave you receipts for how much money there was. She took his money for a headstone and spent it on herself by taking a trip to Walt Disney World. What should I do?

ok so some guy ran into the back of my truck, it was his fault and his insurence company accepted liability, they required me to go in and have an estimate done at a particular ford dealership, that dealership gave an estimate but the estimate was for an aftermarket (not manufactured by the original manufacture)bumper, the bumper that they are willing to pay for is not the same as the one i had before, it doesnt have a tow hitch assembly which was part of the original, the plastic on top does not match the original, in order for me to get the SAME bumper as it had before it will cost 300 dollers more. bottom line the parts are available to put my truck back to its pre accident condition but the insurence company is only willing to pay for the generic parts that do not include all the "bells and whistles"as the original and the color doesnt match. they say this is legal and i have to just settle for what they give me.what can i do?

I did a auto repair job for a man that claimed the auto was his but when i completed the job he then had his father contact me and refuse to pay for the job done as he did not hire me to do it himself so i refused to release the car to him and in turn his father is taking me to court and sueing me for all kinds of extras like inconvinience ect... and the justice of the peace that is presiding over the case seems to not be looking at the case in an unbiast manor i am unable to afford a laywer so i am on my own now the parish that i live in has picked up the car because the owner never did and i am being sued for that also so if anyone has any real advise it would be greatly appreciated thank you all for your time James ( also his father has stated to the justice of the peace that he would not have approved of me working on the car because he just had the motor and trans put in it about a year ago but he gave me money to buy the parts with himself at my home in front of my fiance').

My landlord claims to have given notice, but I've never received any. So, now he comes with the constable, and says I have ubtil the weekend to come get my things. I called him today, and he let me in. However, most of my things have been stolen! Isn't he responsible for my belongings since the locks have been changed? Phoenix, AZ is where I live. My computer was among the things missing. Will an attorney represent me? Anyone, please help!
