Something like the number of times each Congress has meet would be good, but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for.

well, you probably won't find statistics, but I do suggest you look at legislative history, such as the Patriot Act. Also, look at what the executive branch of the government has as duties.

It's going to be hard to find statistics on that sort of thing because the Bush expansion of the presidency is so recent. Probably not a lot of studies have been done. But specifically what statistics are you looking for - ie statistics addressing what question about the increase in presidential power?

I just found several examples of how George Bush has done just that...increased his power by ignoring presidential restrictions and viewing himself as ABOVE THE LAW.

Not sure where on yahoo searches I was, though.

whatever you do.... don't believe any statistics that are given to you by a liberal... they tend to just make numbers up to fit their side.
