I had a minor DUI, did community hours and paid my fines, will it follow me for rest of my life or will it go away in some years?

I don't get it, your case was dismissed, but you did community service and pay fines and costs? Was your case dismissed after successful completion of your community service and paying of your fines? If that was the case, then you should be able to get the case expunged. Contact the court of record and request the proper forms for the expungement and fill them out and return them to the court. They should give you a court date and you appear before the Judge and request the expungement. It will be his decision.

The biggest one in the last two years on April 1 has been the circulation of the Information about a "Dooms Day Virus". Sort of like the Y2k thing every body running around frantically trying to get a quick fix. Sure made those crisis and adrenaline junkies happy. What is the Spiritually in an April fools joke?

Your case wasn't dismissed if you paid fines and did community service hours. If it's a misdemeanor, in five years you can petition the court to have the record expunged. The court clerk can tell you how to do it.

If you paid fines and did community service, then it wasn't dismissed. It stays on your record.
