I carry a Smith and Wesson Model 340PD Revolver, with a laser grip. It is the strongest and lightest .357 Magnum revolver made. Not loaded this revolver weighs only 12 oz. And it is small enough to fit safely in my pocket. I have several guns, but this is the one I count on for protection. For self defense I prefer a revolver, they are more reliable.

Personally, I prefer the 45 or 380 Auto Mags, I carry shoulder, but If I had the choice, I would carry it on the hip for all the world to see; this is what our laws should be, and what we as Americans should be demanding. Forget the concealed carry, let the Bad Guy, Enemy, Perp, know that we do not and will not tolerate any of their BS.Crime rate will drop off the chart.

I no longer carry a concealed firearm because the state I live in does not allow it. When I did carry one it was a Charter Arms revolver called a Bulldog it was .44 special calibur. Not a magnum. I preferred Federal 200 grain lead hollowpoints. It had a three inch barrel.

I selected a revolver due to that fact that if I needed to use it, it would absolutely have to work the first time. I never could bring myself to rely on automatics. Of course I traded reliability for massive amounts of ammo. BTW. I never needed to fire it at anyone.

I carried it with various holster rigs depending on my attire. Usually, it was on my hip.

Currently I carry a Smith & Wesson Model 3914 9mm. I am in the process of purchasing a Kimber Ultra Carry .45 ACP. It depends on what I am wearing as to where I holster the weapon. Sometimes in the waist band. Sometimes a shoulder holster.

I have a permit to carry and have for years.

Either a 380 or 9mm and normally I just wear it on my belt and not really worry about it being concealed, a weapon you can't get to within a few seconds don't have much value. If I have to do it concelled, angle hoster or belly band under the shirt

same place Al Gore said he would keep Social Security "in a locked-box", and maybe in the trunk of a late 60s chevy, at a junk yard, with pit bulls and dobermains all around. I thnk that would be a good as place as any, or perhaps in a concealed place, but then I might forget where I put it, so the locked box is my first choice. when I hear dogs bark, it will remind me where I hid it, in the locked box, (with social security funds?).
