The reason to this questions is in hopes to having a solution for former convicts that trying to improve their lives by landing a job(s), Instead of going back out on the streets and either join a gang, sell drugs, or commit a burglariy. I'm tired of seen many former convicts wasting their lives by hanging out on the corner of the streets ten to twelve hours a day doing nothing, or peddling. (Begging)

I think I've read here on YA that very justification for the Patriot Act. That applies to DOJ officials too, right? If you've got nothing to hide you don't mind if we ask a few questions, listen in on a few phone calls, or check your library account, do you?

I just answered a pretty disturbing question (asker: Sarah). She got pregnant but doesn't want her boyfriend in her life anymore (he cheated on her), so she wants to know if she falsely accuses him of rape, will the authorities know she is lying and will she still get child support?
Now, I know that people do these kinds of things but I guess it never really dawned on me how retarded some people can be. She's going to have a baby!
So I guess my question is: could YOU ever falsely accuse someone of rape under any circumstances?

I, obviously, could NOT. I know a few guys who deserve some bad things, but not THAT. I can't even imagine ruining someone's life like that.

Alright, here's what's going on: a couple of us have started taking pictures to create a yearbook for our co-workers. A lot of people are very excited about it and the project seems to be succeeding so far. This is the first time anyone has done a yearbook. It will not be sold to the public. The question here is: do we need everyone's permission to put their names and pictures into the yearbook? Do we need permission to put group photos in? Copyright laws say that the photographer, not the subject, owns the rights to the picture. Are we just being courteous asking everyone's permission? i'm curious about the laws surrounding this....anything will help...thanks!

the indian /state govt may need the land for setting up S.E.Z ,ring road etc.Its taking away the land even against the willing ness of individuals ,at market price.

Why is he not legally a child predator? He's been given 1 year of probation and he can't work in the education system anymore, but why isn't he on the child predator list, when clearly he is a child predator?

Why is targeting children for sexual purposes an offense only worthy of a year's probation?

your walking down the street and u get hit by a car...it been reported the guy cooperates....u have the report....ur in therapy for a yr and you dotn work the whole yr..have surgery on ur leg..back problems and leg problems...and ur lawyer says ur only gettin 50,000 plus his expenses....would u be happy with that? would u deserve more?

My Great Nephew is 24 years old and was recently hired on with a large company that installs the large lighted plastic signs that everyone sees outside a fast food restaurant or a casino. He was very pumped up about it.

Yesterday he told me that he was sent to install a giant guitar outside of a casino under construction on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. When he got there he found that his new employer had prisoners working on this huge sign. They were doing work that my nephew considered to be craftsmanly. That is they weren't just picking up after the craftsman. They were putting this 3 or 4 story sign together.
Not only that, but this company, that my nephew was so excited about working for, deemed it fit to put him in accomodations with those prisoners. He said the worst one was the guy who walked around bare naked all the time.
Is it just me, or is there something very wrong about all this?

Here is a link to todays news which is a federal judge wanting to take the fifth amendment pertaining to the judges that were fired. I realize all Americans have the right to the fifth amendment which is the right not to testify to prevent incriminating oneself. I was thinking it is also true that judges are not allowed to commit crimes as part of their job being a judge. Sure, we all get in trouble if any of us commits crimes but if a judge says he cannot testify because it will incrinimate him... isn't that like confessing to the crime any way you look at it?

i'm 15 and 3 months pregnant. Now i know that's not good, but today me, my boyfriend, and my dad got into a huge arguement and my dad told my boyfriend to leave. And as soon as my boyfriend was gone, which he just stood on the porch, my dad punched me in the head and said to never disrespect him like that again. And i told my boyfriend and he called the police. I didn't know until after he did though. But anyways, the police said that since there was no marks or anything that they couldn't say much. Then they told my dad that it was okay if he hits me as long as no marks are left. Then they're trying to get my boyfriend in trouble for a "false report"! And i'm pregnant. I live in Iowa. But still can they really just let that go? shouldn't they do something?

I owe $11,000 in child support, for arrears (back payments). My child turned 18 last year. I am currently paying $600/month towards my back payments. Will Michigan still be able to take my federal tax refund now that my child is 19 & I have been emancipated?

Also, they have been intercepting my refund for the last 3 years.

I work at a doggy day care. My schedule is supposed to be 11am through 7pm monday through friday. However this month they have me working monday through friday 11pm through 7pm and saturday and sunday 7am through 10 am and later 5 untill 7 pm. I have zero days off this month. Is this legal?
