If there's no will and there's anything left after the estate is settled (the bills get paid first), then the kids would be first in line to inherit.

That's if you live in the U.S. If you live in another country, it may be different.

Did the spouses leave wills? If they did they died testate and the wills would generally direct who gets what. It also depends on which spouse died first and which one died afterwards. Or if they died at the same time.

If there is no will for either spouse or one of the 2 spouses, which ever spouse(s) died without a will their property would go intestate based on a statute called the "intestacy statute" or code or ordinance to that effect.

Typically property goes to children before it goes to parents of the decedent or brothers, sisters, cousins, or grandparents, etc.

You should hire a lawyer to determine who gets what.

If the parents had a will, it should decide who gets what and if they do not have a will the children or next of kin will get all of there possessions including the estate.

Unless their will states otherwise, children are entitled to the property. Often times, it can become quite a fight between the children sad to say.

Only if you have a will. Otherwise a probate court will decide and most of the time it's sold and creditors paid before relatives.
