Law & Ethics - March 2007

I was diagnosed with dsylexia just after I finished uni.It is quite severe & I was told it was a miricle that I managed to finish a degree.

It took me longer than everyone I started with, as did college & sixth form,a total of 8 years & lots of getting kicked out for not doing assignments.

In high school I was in top stream 4 science,maths & everything apart from English,for which I was in the bottom group (the remidial group).

I even once told my english teacher I got my B's & D's mixed up & was told to right bed on my ruler to sort it!That was it.Was told I was intelligent but it was never diagnosed.

This educational problem still effects me today, work is still harder to get as I am older than people with the same education & this struggle cannot be seen on my CV.

As I think it has cost me at least 3 years in my carrer I do not see why I should not have some form of recompense.

Are there any known cases on this being done before?

I have just seen that a Tory MP wants to give parents rights to know when their children (under 16) are given contraception or have an abortion.

The Contraception and Abortion (Parental Information) Bill is being presented to the House of Commons under the "10-minute rule'' procedure on Wednesday.

His babies mama told him last night that he had to go to court on March 21. He hasn't been issued a supena or served with papers. He also has another court case in traffic court on the same day 2 counties away. If he doesn't go to traffic court then he will probably loose his job, ,becuase it will be 6 points on his liscense. He has no idea about the court date for child support though. Is he required to go if he hasn't been served? Is there anyway he can get the court dates pushed back or forward? He really needs to make both apperances.....


HELP PLEASE!

I'm so upset. We are suppose to be getting married in April... I dont want to get married then not see him for 3 months becuase he couldn't make one court date.

Ok so i have been dating this girl for a year and a half. we are in love and her parents are very strict. So they didn't know what so ever that we were having sex. MY girlfriend is way to honest and she pretty much told them. Now i just turned 18 and she is 16 almost 17. what are the laws against it.. I am in a year and almost a half relationship...Two weeks into the relationship my bf admitted to having cheated one of the first nights. I forgave him. He says he hasnt done it since...sometimes it pops into my head. He has lied about many other things not that though since. Tonight it just wont leave my head. I even pictured the scene. It makes me sick. I have thought about cheating but never did it.
I really love him but hate him so much sometimes.
I don't know what to do.
Tonight I almost feel like breaking up with him b/c I feel like if a year and a half later I am still thinking about it...I will never forget it...
And I will never be able to get passed it, and our relationship will never get past a certain point and if it doesnt what is the point...
(sigh)
Im so sad right now but I cant call him.
P.S. One month ago our relationship turned into a long distance one...it will stay this way for the next three months.
How do I cope?

What would be the worst consequence for loss of a Social Insurance Number card? I am afraid I may lost it somewhere. Maybe on the bus, or in a pub!
How to replace it? Report loss? Can other people get my money in my bank accounts?

The problems did not exist until SEIU started contracting with County Government Agencies. Each employee is a dollar sign to SEIU. I am talking about thousands of employees whether you like SEIU or not. SEIU gets paid by each County employee X amount of dollars each pay period for services SEIU does not complete and refuses to be made accountable for not serving each employee in a timely manner, In most cases SEIU and its Job Stewards are working at taking away county employee privileges and Benefits such as health care insurance. The retired County employees do not have health insurance. What is wrong with this picture? The county agency has a SEIU employee who is Director of Human Resources in the Personnel department. Do you think this could be the big problem? SEIU sold county employees down the river to county management employees. SEIU was not hired to protect the rights of county employees of lesser pay and different bargaining units..

I co-signed a vehicle with a boyfriend for a 5 year loan.them broke up, loan got stretched to 7 years. I've made 2 payments on the vehicle. Its now on The last 3months of loan. I get a phone call saying he hasn't payed in the last 6 mths. money due. @ days to come up with it. I pay it and Now balance is due and he hasn't payed anything. If I don't pay it a repossession goes on my credit and I will not be able the refinace my house. most be done in the next 4 mths. I've called , sent letters and not responce from owner. If I pay ,the title will be sent to him and I never see my money. He's now out of state.What should I do about collecting my money or repossing the vehicle myself and selling it? I just want this over with without geting screwed. Help

Why my son has to pay for his university because he was born in England but if you are born in Scotland you don't havre to pay.
Why Students union don't take the goverment for judicial review and even then to European court of Justice. If this is not discrimination I don't know what it is. Of course Mr. Brown will say well,Scotland is a diffrent country when this suits him.

I was wondering if an amendment to the Constitution was legally allowed to be amended. For instance the Twenty-sixth Amendment denies even the United States the authority to go against it, but if the amendment were to be amended omitting that part then anything could go.

I heard something from someone who said that she had done something sexual to someone and I was shocked! I "told" my friend and I guess I shouldn't have! People "told" on me, that I was spreading a rumor,(I just told one person) I got called into the office and got ISS. They said that it was "sexual Harassment!" Is it?? Help!
