Child support case. No warrant has been issued to him yet.?

Question

His babies mama told him last night that he had to go to court on March 21. He hasn't been issued a supena or served with papers. He also has another court case in traffic court on the same day 2 counties away. If he doesn't go to traffic court then he will probably loose his job, ,becuase it will be 6 points on his liscense. He has no idea about the court date for child support though. Is he required to go if he hasn't been served? Is there anyway he can get the court dates pushed back or forward? He really needs to make both apperances.....

I'm so upset. We are suppose to be getting married in April... I dont want to get married then not see him for 3 months becuase he couldn't make one court date.

There is no existing child support order. So he doesn't owe back child support or anything like that.

Yes, he can get a continance on any of the cases he is invovlved with, he can show that he has a court date on the same date...one will allow a delay, I'm sure it would be the traffic case to be delayed, the child support is a far more serious case. I hope he is all paid up or he might wind up behind bars

Call the child support division; TELL them he hasn't received a notice to appear, only word of mouth that there might be a date. Advise them that he has already been called to court on the other matter and they should reschedule without a big hassle IF HE CALLS them and they don't have to come looking for him

all he has to do is contact the court house, tell them of his other court date and they should reschedule his Child Support hearing...

or he could just go to the traffic court and prepay the ticket (plead guilty).

either way, sounds like you have your hands full.
