Yes, rape is a problem across the globe. But, why in India is the family, the police, and the courts all against the girl from standing up and revealing the rapists?

Why do ideals of family status surpass a woman's need for safety and security?

The Belmont CA code bans chewing tobacco or smokeless tobacco. Why did they ban it if the use does not create second hand smoke and no danger to the public?does this prove discrimination against people that use a legal product? And if they argue health care cost then we have to ban immigrants who sneak into the country and use the health care system.

Without condoning one or the other, I find it sort of strange that sex offenders must register in some cases for life while murderers or those who commit manslaughter, robbery and the like do not.

In other words if you abused a small child you might get five years and have to register, but if you just killed that child you would be free and clear after you got out or got paroled.

I haven't been working at Oak Grove like I was before Christmas 2006. I found out that I have Aspergers Syndrome and well, now not one of the big big bosses want me to come in. It is like I am an ugly person and they won't let go of what happened in Jan of 2007.

I shouldn't have told them that I have it. If I sue the non-for-profit company I may lose, but here is my thinking. They get about 5K a day for each kid from the state.

There are about 130- 150 kids there. So, that is about 500,000 a month may be 600,000 a month. If I sue for
$ 200,000-I would have to pay 40% to an attorney and 35% to taxes. What is left? $ 150,000-200,000 = $ 50,000. Does this sound like I am taking this too far? 50K is not much, however, I can live on 1K a month.

I am tired of Oak Grove using discrimination on adults-when they treat children! Children do grow up to be adults.

I've asked this question before. One person replied yes. Anyones help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...... :)

Washington, DC has no voting rights in the Congress and Senate, and just this past week the White House cited (again) that it may be unconstitutional for a non-state to have a vote in Congress. However, DC residents pay full FEDERAL income taxes just like those in any state.

This sounds an awful lot like the political atmosphere in 1776 when the colonies were not given British voting rights, but were forced to pay taxes, simply because they were labeled "colonies". It seems strange to me that the original framers of the Constitution did not have this concern in mind when drafting it!

So, do DC residents have to pay federal taxes? Should they?

I have tried to talk to him about it but he said if I take him to small claims court he will take me to court for forgey. He claims that I stole the check and made it out to myself which is a lie. the check has his signature on it for proof and somebody was there when he made it out to me. He is in the military and he just left to another country. How do I go about getting the money from him?
