My ex-girlfriend who is an adult has threatened to commit suicide. She told me that she will do it because I am not with her. If she does it for real will I be held account for her suicidal actions? I mean I don’t want people knocking on my door telling me what happened and blaming me for it.

No.

I have no doubt she's distraught - but that's emotional blackmail.
It is not your fault. She just has poor coping mechanisms and needs help. Professional help. I hope you've called someone.

Legally, you can't be held responsible, if she does carry through with it, however, some people will still probably want to blame you for her actions. This is why suicide is so hard on those who are left.
More than likely, she's using the threat of suicide as a last ditch effort to try to get you back. It's a common ploy and you are better off staying away from her.
Don't allow her to manipulate you.

Call the police and tell them the story- they will intervene with psychiatric help and then she will be treated most likely in a pschiatric instution on suicide watch.
She needs help- and this is her crying out for it.
Call the police- they are experts at this kind of problem.

Well I know you have probably already tried this but try talking to her
Tell her that although you wont go out with her that you love her and care about her

Betcha havent tried this.
Um tell her you are taking her on a date and tell her its a surprise um
Have her to put on the blindfolds, take her to a therapy building and dont take the blindfolds off until she is inside

Women are very smart sensitive and capable so date her until you can get the plan over with no matter how much you dont want to.

Sounds cruel, but it's not. Tell her, Well that choice is up to you. But because I do care about you as a person, I'll call 911 for you if'd you'd like. Would you like me to do that for you now? You are not responsible for what someone else chooses to do, and that is emotional blackmail what they are trying to do to you. But I think if you try the above that should solve it.
