We were going to be married in June but he may not be out by then and we do not want either of us going out of this life without the honor of legally calling each other husband or wife. We have been together a very long time and just because he was recently arrested does not make him any different then the man I fell in love with and believe to be my soulmate for all time, so that is way I would want to marry a man that was in jail and someday I hope you all feel the love for your chosen one as I feel for mine regardless of the circumstances, and yes the sheriff is an idoit

I don't believe so. however, I'd say it's completely legal for you to get married at the jail. Consult a lawyer. Even if the sheriff says no, that doesn't make it so.

You want to get married to your boyfriend because he had a heart attack? *boggle* (actually depending on the circumstances I might be able to see where you're coming from)

Anyways, I believe the answer to your question is no, sadly.

Get in touch with a lawyer, there have been many in prison that have been married by proxy.

the best thing would be for you to be patient. If he gets out andis able to stay clean/sober and out of trouble for a year then consider marriage.
In the meantime go on with yourlife out of jail and focus on bettering yourself he must live with is consequences for now
