I have just about had it with some people in my neighborhood...The crime involves drugs and the police never seem to get lucky enough to catch them in the act....How does a citizens arrest work? Can I arm myself and confront them?

A friend of mine's mother is very ill and living on her own. Her mother is trying to get fin. aid to help with the next round of surgeries she can't afford but MUST go through to continue through the Parkinson's Disease.
Her mother was turned down due to the truck she owns is higher value than what they agree on (The truck was a gift from the mother's mother so she could get around with something reliable). The rep. slyly mentioned that the mother could "gift" the truck to her daughter and let her mother borrow the truck. The plates, registration and title would be in the daughter's name but the insurance policy would be in the mother's alone.
Is this legal?
Right now, the daughter is upset because her mother is upset and so on. It's a big strain and sadly the daughter get guilted alot - but she wants to make sure this is legal.

(Please don't talk of cheating the system either - her mother is not well and she saw enough illegal people in VERY expensive cars getting fin. help)

the fundamental rights of citizens have been abused by the successive govts.medical care is, at least, one of the costiliest affair in one's life [ it may be less costly than usabut the care is taken by the admn there]. if one is unable to find two succesive meals to live, how can one pay for the medical exegencies. so why not have right to die than to suffer while living empty sromach and having number of illness.

I need to write a pretend court case type thing between Prospero from the tempest and Judge Julie (a fictional character) I would like to know what the judge says at the beginning of court etc, and what sort of language I am suppossed to use. I have found lots of companies put all of them want money up front. This is the problem this is why I need investors so I can become bigger. I know in Massachusetts, just being having the possesion of marijuana you can get fined 100's of thousands of dollars and go to jail for up to 10 years.

if you rape a child you get counciling and only up 5 years in prison.

According to my information and the local news ,our electric bill was suppose to go up about 38%. However, my bill has gone up over 100%. Whats the deal. We are getting ripped off or scamed. I tried calling ComEd, but you know the run around they give us. Does any one know the truth? Where can I go to get the actual written % increase rates for Illinois? I've gone to their website and did not fine a number. I want a % number that I can us to determine my actual bill. Help!!!

I'm not married, I don't have a partner or even a boyfriend. Neither do I have any children and both my parents have died. I have a sister and a brother, both older than me. My sister is the eldest of us but my brother is my closest male relative.

Legally, which of them is my next of kin, the eldest of the family (my sister) or is it still closest male relative (my brother)?

I usually put both of them but if I have to pick one, I put my brother as he lives about eight miles from me and my sister lives three hundred. So he has it for sheer practicality but I know they'd argue the toss so if there's any legal eagles who know what I can say to them, please tell me.

Is it true that things you do against the law when you are under 18 get wiped clean once you turn 18?

The reason I ask is because when I was young and stupid I got 2 cautions from the police one for smoking pot and another for shop lifting : ( God thats embarassing I was so stupid, trust me I definatley have changed. Anyway I will be graduating soon and all the jobs I want are to do with the government, these jobs will put me through a thorough security assesement, including background check.

Will those cautions come up or do you get a clean slate when you turn 18?

I am in qld if it makes any difference and I did not have anything worse than a caution.

Please any help would be much appreciated

Please let me know if you have! I need similar stories! I'm in the middle of trying to get SOMEONE to look into the fact that Im a victim of fraud under a rent-to-own scheme by Colorado State Business Group aka CSBG aka Core Realty. There's alot of web info about rise in mortgage & appraisal fraud & articles on how all these various politicians intend to do something about it, meanwhile, I cant get ANYone to look into my particular case. I "bought" a house from CSBG (Chris Stiebler, Andy Klein, owners) which I was to rent from them for 1 year, paying 1% of THEIR purchase price (claims paid 140k but I found out they paid 112k) which was $1400/mo. (I was to get 1/2 back for down pymnt- DIDN'T).At the end of the year I was to buy the house from CSBG for 15% above THEIR purchase price OR the appraised value, WHICHEVER WAS LESS. The appraiser THEY hired appraised at 165k. I found out @ refi later that appraisal was inflated & value @ the time was closer to 130K. I WAS SCREWED! HEEEEELLP!
