I tried calling ComEd, but you know the run around they give us. Does any one know the truth? Where can I go to get the actual written % increase rates for Illinois? I've gone to their website and did not fine a number. I want a % number that I can us to determine my actual bill. Help!!!

Its been said that because of the increase, rates will go up between 22 and 55 percent. Some have seen increases past the higher end of the scale. There really isnt much recourse right now. Michael Madigan and the Illinois House of Representatives want to freeze rates again but Senate President Emil Jones vows to kill any bill that will bring about a rate freeze. Honestly he (Emil Jones) has been bought and paid for by Com Ed because they have contributed lots and lots of money to his campaign war chest.

There is alot of misinformation out there and Com Ed is behind most of it. The village of Naperville has its own municipal power company and buys its power using the same process that Com Ed claims to use. However, their electric rates are FAR LOWER than the average...and that was BEFORE this astronomical increase!!!

What I would suggest you do is if you havent done so already, get some energy saving bulbs. I'm sure you've seen the funny looking spiral bulbs at places like Sams, Menards, hell even ALDI's have them. They may be quite a bit more expensive than traditional bulbs but they do save money, especially if you're the type to keep lights on. My whole apartment has nothing but energy saving bulbs and I saw my light bill go down by at least 30 dollars per month when it used to be near 100!!!!

So replace all those wasteful halogen bulbs and use energy savers!!!

A fan makes use of electric powered present day via a swap called a rheostat. The fan motor is propelled and managed with assistance from amperage. It has a optimal and a minimum score. the swifter the motor, the better the amperage. The voltage (electric powered ability) is what feeds the amperage. seem at it like this..... The fan is a automobile, the fan motor is the engine, the speed swap is the throttle, the electric powered socket is the gasoline tank, and the electric powered meter is the gasoline pump. in case you warm rod round city, change %, attempt to do more advantageous than the automobile is able to, you waste money on ability. in case you stay at a comfortable %, track the automobile (shop the living house cool) and do not abuse it, it gained't waste ability. in case you run the fan on a similar %, and shop the area cool in different procedures, it is going to save money. in simple terms operating a million fan at any % gained't change your bill dramatically, yet a field fan isn't a really valuable thanks to relax. A field fan makes use of more advantageous ability than 2 ceiling followers. seem on the packaging, examine the amperage/wattage and attempt to apply ability valuable products

Residential rates in 2007 rates will reflect a 22 percent increase – about $13 a month for the average residential bill. You might want to turn off the lights more often. Whew!!
