No it should not be banned. (how would they enforce it?) But I do beleive that you should at least love your kids enough to not smoke around them.

Simple answer to your survey...NO. Is inhaling second hand smoke good for kids, or anyone, NO. But do we really want the government stepping into our homes and regulating each item we engage in. Should we ban swearing in front of kids? How about walking around the house in our undies? Or maybe eating too many MacDonald's hamburgers and fries?

No, at least not by the government.
Our country and government was founded on the principle of INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM, not "please oh government rule every aspect of my life". That's why our forefathers severed ties with England. The government has their nose in too much individual freedom as it is, and should not get even further into it. Adults should have enough sense to know when they are endangering their children, it shouldn't be up to the government to rule everyone's lives.

I'll answer your question, with a question.
What will happen if we continue to ban our most dangerous activity?
This is from a Child IQ test I took around 1965. The question was:
The train company noticed that the last car on the train, always had the most damage. So they resolved to remove the last car from the train. What is wrong with this?

i know the effects of second hand smoke, but i do not feel that the govt. has the right to tell people what they can and can't do in their homes! i smoke but i do not smoke in my house, that is my choice! i think people should be a little smarter and not smoke in their homes with their children, but the govt, does not have the right to tell me what i can do in my own home!

No, our government and the laws should not be used to control personal choices of the population.
A law such as this goes directly against our democratic foundation.
We already give them too much control over our lives. We are a nation of sheep, not adults in control of their own destiny.

No..the government has no right to tell me what I can do in my home, that I pay for.
Our rights are slowly being stripped away from us by others who think that we should live the way they want us too.

No the anti-smoking legislation is an example of the government butting in where it doesn't belong.
