Or should I stay out of it?

Here's the situation.. My girlfriend was ticketed for speeding and failing to show proof of insurance. The car was impounded with insurance card in it. The car does have expired tags so I went to the DoT to renew but they told me I had to go to courthouse to fight no proof of insurance ticket 1st. I go to the courthouse and showed them reciepts and my insurance info (since there is loan out for car I have to have insurance :P) but they won't release ticket without my girlfriend showing proof of insurance that covers her. I then go to impound lot to see if I can at least get car but they need release form from police station. I go to pig house and they wont release until have current tags. This is an endless cycle that there is no starting point to correct. I don't know what I can do without a lawyer which I may not be able to afford. Any suggestions? I don't know how much more of this I can take....

Hello. I was in a 4 car pile up. I was car #2. Car #4 was cited for the accident, and has paid for the car. I have back injuy and leg numbness. They have not diaganosed me yet. I hired an attorney. He said that will multiple cars, sometimes it takes awhile to settle, due to that. I have been out of work for 2 months now. I can hardly walk. i am in physical therpay and am awaitng an MRI. I am not worried about the money, but my medical bills are piling up, and my attorny suggested i wait to pay them until we reach settlement, to elimnate multiple insurances. Does any one know how long this may take to settle? Also, will the settlement cover all medical expenses, and time missed from work. I cant even get out of bed, and am on a lap top in bed. Does anyone know how pain and suffering work? Also, what kind of settlement is appropriate, i was told by my attorny not to settle on any amount. How do i know? I am only 25 and not sure how this works... Please help!

My partners parents split up about 11yrs ago, my partner stayed with his father and his sister with her mother. My partner then had to start paying the mortgage as his mother was taking them to the cleaners. Anyway the 'deal' between his father and himself was that when he died the house would become my partners since he paid the mortgage for about 10yrs. Unfortunately his dad died just over a yr ago and we have just moved into the said house. In his dads will my partner was to get the house and all its belongings and his sister was to get £200. My partner told his sis that she could take what she wanted and by golly she ransacked the house. Now his mother and sis are no longer talking to us and our son as they think my partner should be generous and give his sis half the house or alot of money, what would you do, legally he is entitled to the lot but morally where would you stand?

O.J. Simpson was liable for the killings in a wrongful death lawsuit and was ordered to pay $33.5 million to the Goldman family. If hes found not guilty, then shouldnt he walk away free and clear of any other dangers? Heck, for $33.5 million, might as well find me guilty. I think this is even worse then being found guilty of murder.

The one thing that i have noticed more and more in recent years is the growing 'Nanny' culture the government is inflicting on the British public. But is it our own fault for being a nation of 'over-the-hill' wingers, or do you think that we need new laws and regulations to save us from ourselves? I have to say, it makes me ashamed to be British and can't help but wonder whether if voting was made compulsary for over 16's then there would be a much broader opinion and we would not feel the need or have the right to winge as much!

"purchased a pair of boxing gloves from BIG5(sporting goods store) and used them for 6months and one of the gloves started to lose its inner-padding. Then you decide to purchase the EXACT same pair of gloves and return the old ones back to the store to get your money back." They had me fill out a refund form which they took my driver's license and wrote down my info(name/address/signature). I BASICALLY PURCHASED NEW GLOVES SO I COULD EXCHANGE THEM FOR MY OLD ONES AND RETURNED IT BACK TO THE STORE FOR A REFUND. what's the worst that could happen? can they contact me or call the police or am i just too damn paranoid?!

Ok here is the deal, my phone company called the other day and said DSL was available to my home. So we called to get it ordered and they said we had already placed the order, come to find out a customer service rep had placed the order without permission from us. So we tell them we didnt place an order but would like to keep the current order and sign up for DSL, then we get a call today that it isnt available to our area, after we have gotten the modem and were 2 days away from having it. I want to know what i can do about this matter and if there is a possible law suit here?

Both places teach how to kill human beings and brainwash "soldiers" to fight and hate. How are they different? If you are a soldier, how can you sleep at night knowing that you might have killed someone innocent today?

Former President Clinton's personal and private offenses while in whitehouse were never as serious and life-threatening to Americans. as is the current helmsman Mr. BUSH's global catastrophes in dealing with his "axis of evil"...Is Impeachment a viable option to rid the world of this war-mongering "WMD" scourage?

Since the US Congress has failed to stand up for the people of the United
States of America, it has fallen to those in state legislators to take up the
challenge to this nation and move forward to show the entire world that we, the
people, do not condone what is going on in Washington, DC.

Just as Seattle mayor Greg Nickels signed the Kyoto Accord and Albuquerque's
mayor followed which began a nonpartisan action taken up by mayors all over
this country to show the world that We The People desire peace!

CITY OF NEW ORLEANS, MAYOR RAY NAGIN
ONCE AGAIN FOUND IN CONTEMPT OF COURT
District Court Judge to City Attorney: Conduct "wholly unprofessional"

NRA and law-abiding gun owners won yet another victory this week against New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin and former police chief Warren Riley.

Judge Carl J. Barbier, presiding over the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, granted NRA's motion for contempt against New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin and Warren Riley for "failure to provide initial disclosures and to compel answers to discovery" during NRA's injunction against the City for their illegal gun confiscation of law-abiding citizens following Hurricane Katrina in 2006.

"Once more, Mayor Ray Nagin and former police chief Warren Riley are held accountable for considering themselves above the law," said NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox.

How exactly do lawyers talk to each other… how does one side decide there are going to win and other side lose? For example: do they talk to each other saying… one client has more money so they split it between them to win, do they know each other well enough or trade cases to win/lose?

If you read the law that Bush passed - it prevents Reverend Phelps from protesting at soldiers funerals...

He is a perverted, disgusting, gothic figure who hold signs saying that people are going to hell at their funerals while their loved ones are trying to grieve in peace...

Why could Bush not have authored a law that prevents him from protesting at ALL funerals?

Don't ALL people deserve the right to a little peace and quiet when someone they love has died?
