Former President Clinton's personal and private offenses while in whitehouse were never as serious and life-threatening to Americans. as is the current helmsman Mr. BUSH's global catastrophes in dealing with his "axis of evil"...Is Impeachment a viable option to rid the world of this war-mongering "WMD" scourage?
===
Since the US Congress has failed to stand up for the people of the United
States of America, it has fallen to those in state legislators to take up the
challenge to this nation and move forward to show the entire world that we, the
people, do not condone what is going on in Washington, DC.

Just as Seattle mayor Greg Nickels signed the Kyoto Accord and Albuquerque's
mayor followed which began a nonpartisan action taken up by mayors all over
this country to show the world that We The People desire peace!

You are beating a dead horse. By now even an illiterate Bantu bushman of the West African Coast knows that a crime has to be committed. The person has to be indicted, then comes the trial, which is what impeachment means, then if convicted a person is generally just censored, not removed from office. But I guess that Bantu is more educated in our system of government then most of the people who have posted this question at least 200 times.

The problem with this debate is the lack of proof. You do not have proof that the President has committed any crime. That is where your argument and all others like it fall short. Bill Clinton lied under oath. Perjury is a crime. Clinton was impeached for his crime. I don't care of you like the president or not, but in order to remove a sitting president it requires more than dislike, it requires more than speculation, it requires more than innuendo and it certainly requires more than baseless rhetoric. The pro impeachment set is full of all these things, they just lack the more important element. Evidence!

cantcu: Impeachment is the process, not the action of removing the president. If the president is convicted on the articles of impeachment he can then be removed from office. Two Presidents have been impeached Andrew Jackson and Bill Clinton, neither were convicted and neither were removed from office. You should really learn the facts and terms yourself before spouting off and making yourself look uninformed.

Well, Clinton didn't get impeached for his morally questionable actions with an intern. He got impeached for lying about it. He perjured himself.

Now, the current president has what is called plausible deniability. He can assume that they intelligience laid before him is accurate, and present it as accurate without checking into the sources and validity of the intel. Did he do that, who knows. But, he still has that deniability. Also, congress has the ability to scrutinize and evaluate the intel and its sources as well. But, they did not, and they voted to allow this campaign to continue.

So, basically, at this point, whether you like it or not, the current pres. has not broken any laws. That is why he has not been impeached.

Now, I am not support, or not supporting this conflict. This late in the game is too late. What needs to be looked at now is the ability to bring people home while leaving the area intact. Too "cut & run", as it is called, would not work, and it has global ramifications. The area would fall into multimational "civil war". It is an unstable area when there is peace. At this point, to leave would cause more problems than it solves.

The global ramifications stem from the fact that that region of the world produces one commodity that everyone is dependant upon, oil. Sure, we do not get most of our oil from Iraq, but Iraq would be only one of the countries to fall if we pulled out. This will effect the quality of life in this country, and the rest of the world greatly. Oil, and the products that come from oil, are what makes the world go around. Gas for you vehicle is only one small part of what oil is used for.

That is why I laugh when people say we need to figure out alternative energy sources. It isn't just energy. Look around the room that you are sitting in while reading this. Anything made of plastic, that has paint, wood laminates, etc are all products made from oil bi-products. So, it isn't just the automotive industries that need oil.

You know, milk, OJ, sodas, used to come in glass bottles or paper cartons. Now, plastic bottles are the norm. These are products created from oil bi-products.

So, leaving now will have a great effect on the whole world. We need a way to not be there in mass, while also keeping relative peace in the region.

So, if you have a feasible plan for that, let someone in Washington know about it. Without it, we will stay there for quite a while.

Clinton lied, which was proven, which is an impeachable offense. Bush has never proven to have lied. Therefor you can't impeach him just because you don't agree with him. Congress isn't this stupid, they know a heck of a lot more than you. And they know they'd never be able to. So why waste the time? Have you any proof that his policies are life threatening? Because more likely you are safer now. Start reading and watching what's going on and stay off the weed.

I'm for impeaching him! I wonder if we could get everyone to sign a petition or write their representatives! I know many Republicans are not for his policies, and they showed it the last election! The biggest problem that all were not up for re-election in 2006! We need to impress upon those who currently are sitting that they might not have a job come the next election.

In my conservative state, New Hampshire, we threw out both incumbent Republican Congressmen and replaced them with Democrats! Neither Senator ran, but Sununu and Gregg are on the list for early retirement!

Our Constitution says this and I hope Gregg and Suninu brush up on it!

[Art.] 10. [Right of Revolution.] Government being instituted for the common benefit, protection, and security, of the whole community, and not for the private interest or emolument of any one man, family, or class of men; therefore, whenever the ends of government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may, and of right ought to reform the old, or establish a new government. The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.

Jesi, Clinton WAS NOT impeached! NO president has ever been impeached! Why do you keep repeating that. They tried Clinton but did not have enough to impeach him!

And Bush has been caught in lies time and time again! One Lie was in the SOU speech about the non-existant Iraqi nuclear plant which was a FORGED document from England and he knew it was a forged document. In addition Wilson checked out the story and it was untrue. It was taken out of the speech and put back in and BUSH KNEW IT WAS A BALD FACED LIE!

In my opinion, Clinton's mistakes were not unusual in history, and more an opportunity
for the republican party than anything else.
If we did decide to impeach Bush...Chaney as president??? Help...!!!! I don't want a country owned an operated by Halliburton. Then we would really be the good ol' U$A.

Ignoring the reports that the Al-Qadea was going to attack wasn't serious?

Damn girl, get your head out of your butt. Liberals are always more stupid then they seem.

Clinton should have been shot instead of impeached!

Clinton lies and because he hated the military and ran out of the US after he signed up (traitor) the boy who went in in that Black Hawk and were killed for no reason would still be alive.

as for myself, I'm done with these utterly ridiculous "questions" about impeachment from those who haven't a clue as to what justifies impeachment, and cannot see beyond the script put before them by moonbat web sites.

Bill Clinton committed a felony while in office. Perjury is a felony and perjury is when you lie UNDER OATH. Bill Clinton stated that he did not have sex with that woman, which was a cold, black lie! Now, tell me one felony that GW has committed while in office and give me proof. If you can not comply, then shut the hell up!!!!

Any president that can get a BJ while in office is Okay with me. I mean..come on..look at what he has to look at every morning. But you have to look at the facts. Bill Clinton actually made this country weaker. He shut down our military bases. Cause massive job losses. Which in turn lowered our defense. WHICH....made it easier for terrorist to infiltrate our country. Although..I have to say that I liked Bill personally. I do have to say that he wasn't all that for this country. I would NOT impeach Bush.
