I posted an ad awhile ago looking to adopt a child. I have been in contact with a guy from africa who would like to give me custody of his daughter. He said that he has drawn up all paper work and will be sending it to me. The paper work was drawn up by a lawyer and he has transfered custody to my name. I am wondering if this is legal here in the US, to obtain custody this way from another country. Will those papers be excepted here? please help me

Does any one know the trick to put my bike-stand in the UNDULATED, DIRTY, ENEVEN, UNGRAVELLED SURFACE, in the railway station parkings! Especially, if you live in chennai and happened to see at Central railway station bike-parking area ( rear side of the new tall building, in sub-urban train counters), Perambur railway station (eastern side of the ticket couter), The famous T-Nagar railway station ( western side of the railway station), you can see the injustice "parked-in" in those parking areas!! There are tons of heaps and rubbish things, debris of all sizes with unlevelled ground surface, for decades!! And no Govt. authorities or the contractors who have taken the parking lot on yearly tender basis AND EARN HUGE MONEY, never seem to bother and keep the area clean!! There are hundreds and thousands of costly vehicles parked in open-sky with no shelter at all!!
My question: HOW TO TEACH THE CONTRACTORS / AUTHORITIES TO QUIT SELFISHNESS & LOVE INDIA & KEEP OUR SURROUNDINGS CLEAN?

Is it a violation of ethical standards to enable a client to abuse drugs, construct their will, fail to update their will, pretend to have sex with their client, pretend to be the father of their clients new born, name yourself as executor of the client's dead son estate and think it applies to the dis-inherited daughter of the client?

We live in Indiana and my husband's company was bought out a few months ago. The new company started "telling" them that they were going to be paid piece rate. No documentation of this or nothing. He made $10.98 an hour w/ the old company and now they came to them today and said that they were going to be making $7.95 per unit made. This is not per person either, this is shared w/ however many people are working on the line. How can they legally do this w/out any type of written notice??? It is going to be less than what he was making. Is this legal....please help??????

2 1/2 years ago, I was on AHCCCS, which is Arizona state insurance for low income people. I had to have exploratory surgery because they did not know what was wrong with me and thought it was a hernia. It turned out to be ovarian cysts. The doctor told me she did the best she could to get most removed, but is not a specialist and could not get it all. She told me also, that in a few years, they would be bad again and I would need surgery again. I recovered and got work and moved on. None of the jobs I have had offer insurance and NOW this is a pre-existing thing and I would not get coverage for it anyway. The cysts are back and I am in pain. I need to have my ovaries removed. This is a costly surgery and I do not have savings or make a lot of money. I barely get by as it is. NO WAY can I afford the surgery and the added down time. Can I ask AHCCCS why they did not recommend removing the ovaries THEN? I wish I would have been advised on what to do back then.

I live in North Carolina. There is a very good chance that a Judgment may be entered against me for a little less than $3000 dollars. I know that it is illegal for creditors to garnish wages in NC, but I have heard that they can seize your bank account and any property that is in your name. My question is: What exactly can they legally seize with a Judgment? House? Car? Personal belongings? I'm just not sure exactly what the laws are for this sort of thing in NC. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you haven't heard, the Supreme Court just denied the right of habeas corpus to foreign detainees. This basically means that NOBODY has habeas corpus, because the government can now remove anyone from the country, claim that they are an enemy combatant, not a US citizen, and the person will never get a chance to demonstrate otherwise in a court of law. So an 800 year old right (Magna Carta, 1215 AD) just went down the drain. Isn't that horrifying? And, did you know, at least two senators said they only voted for the Military Commisions Act of 2006 because they assumed the Supreme Court would overturn it? Isn't that outrageous?

My grandfather died about 2 weeks ago. His woman and he were not married until the day we found out there was no help for him, On that Day that woman went and filled her bride and groom copy of the marriage licence, my grandfather took the originals and no one know what he did with them. He had no will, and we have to go through probate court. The woman has already started selling his things. Is she legally allowed to do that? I thought that everyone had to wait until probate. At any rate the real question is: Can anyone tell me how we can go about filling to be the executive over his estate? My father is the most responsible of the siblings, so it has been decided that he will start the proceedures. We just don't know where to go from here. Any help will be apprciated.
