As long as there's no law against bumper stickers and such in your area, I don't see why not.

Depends in some areas on whether it obstructs your vision or not. Some places require you to have unobstructed view, or two rear view mirrors if the back windows are solid, like a delivery van.
If you have any doubts in your area, check with your local Highway Patrol, or State Police.

No its not. But be weary that there are taxation rules covering the tax for doing so. I believe in California it is a tax paid to the county in which the business you are advertising is located in.

A paid advertisement is your income and you have to include it in your income and pay tax. .It is also a type of business. States and municipalities also may impose a tax. But it is legal

I am pretty sure it is - depends on who is getting paid though. If you are the one getting paid to display the ad - you may then have issues as that would be classed as an income.
